I would switch Sci Fi to lunch and do Pizza Planet for dinner, honestly. OUr dinner wasn't bad, necessarily, but lunch is MUCH better there. Their burgers and fries are good - dinner can be hit and miss and burgers aren't on the menu. JMHO.

Downtown Disney has free parking and no admission; it's like an outdoor mall area with various shops and kiosks.

Everything else looks great!

You've made some great choices. We had a good dinner at Sci Fi and although burgers aren't on their dinner menu, you can still order them. WCC is my favorite, so much fun and the food is great!!! :)

You're going to LOVE Chef Mickey's!

You've got great choices! Have fun and good luck!

It looks great. The only thing I would change is a later dinner friday night. After breakfast & lunch at AK you probably won't be hungry for dinner. Maybe on Monday too at MGM. The parade is usually around 5:30.

You are going to be there the same week as us!

I think it is great you are starting the week with Chef Mickey's, it really gets you in the spirit. it is our tradition to END our trip at CMs. We have only done breakfast and love it. I think that character breakfast really captures the "essence" of WDW! I hope the dinner does the same. I just love the location, the characters that are there...it is awesome!

DH and I were pleasantly surprised with Earl Of Sandwich. Don't be put off if the line is a mile long, it moves quickly!

Do you know about WCC? If not, I don't want to spoil it for you, but make sure you ask for ketchup! :) Oh, and if this is your first time at the WL, watch out...you will fall in love! The lobby is breathtaking!

DD did the Pirate Cruise from Y&BC and loved it! How old are your kids?

You know, it is funny, you are dining at a lot of places I have never been to, and we pride ourselves in having dined at a LOT of restaurants on WDW property.

I check in on Sat Oct 28th, so I made my ADRs yesterday. This is what I got....

Sat night (check in at POP for one night only)-Reserved The Sandacastle Club for DD7 so DH and I can attend Party For The Senses at Epcot (tix not on sale yet, this event is phenomenal!)

Sun-check into BWV, no ADRs yet

Mon-MNSSHP and 5 pm at Crystal palace

Tues, Wed, Thurs-nothing yet...DH is going to golf with a friend one of those days.

Friday-check into WL (or favorite) Friday morning-CRT
Friday night-Hoop De Doo revue at FW (our first time attending this dinner show!)

Sat-7 pm-California Grill...hoping to be there for the 9 pm WISHES fireworks

Sun-10:45 a.m.-Chef Mickeys and checking out!

I think you should make up your OWN mind on where to eat & when.
No one knows your tastes better than YOU.Don't be frightened it's only
food and not a life altering choice.Enjoy

PS I think to many people on this board over think and need others opinions
on where to eat & when, why is there such need for approvel and hand holding
on something that is so opinionated.

I dont think that asking for an opinion is having your hand held. I WILL make my own decisions, but having input from those who have experienced these restaurants helps me decide on what times may work best with my itinerary and such. As a first timer to Disney World, I appreciate the advice that I have been given. If you dont want advice, I guess you would not be visiting these boards. Just my opinion.... :confused3

I wouldn't panic that time is running out.

This board made me so nervous about making ADR's in time, but I called yesterday and made 7 reservations for early September, and there was no problem at all with any of the times or restaurants I had chosen.

And that's in the free dining time!

So if you need another week or so to decide on your restaurants, I'm sure you'll still be fine. :cheer2:

Isn't that the point of the message board? To give and receive opinions? What do you use the restaurant board for?

Wish-Did you get everything you wanted?

I suggest to switch these around like the previous poster said. It's probably cheaper at lunch anyway, and you won't have to worry at all about making it to Fantasmic.

Pizza Planet has decent pizza, best I've had on Disney property, and I actually prefer the food here to Sci-Fi.

Pirate Cruise for kids at CBR

I'd recommend Tusker House over Flame Tree, unless you specifically want BBQ.

Dinner ~ Whispering Canyon hope for 5:45pm

Day 7 Sat. Departure Day
Downtown Disney(I dont need tickets for here, right. Sorry Disney 1st timer)
Shop/Sightsee

No, you don't need tickets.

Lunch ~ Earl of Sandwich

Great sandwiches here. :goodvibes Great choice.

Sorry, I haven't been to any other places you've mentioned.

Wilderness-thank you for your post :goodvibes I did get everything that I wanted, and within 5 minutes of target times!! I hope that you have some pixie dust come your way too! You know that I never thought of changing hotels through the duration of our vacation. What a great way to take advantage of what DW has to offer. Is it hard to do??

Disneyfav- Thank you for your suggestions. I really wanted Sci fi for dinner. I hear that you can order burgers at dinner too...I hope this is true. If we missed Fantasmic, I would not be too upset..I am sorta afraid that my DD's may think it is too intense anyway. Oh, I am not set on BBQ, so maybe Tusker House will be a better option. I may just play that by ear.

Yes it is,to some extent.I am all for asking others for views on restaurants, but some people get so "frightened" about their choices and need others approval for it.Why? If it sounds good to you after you read peoples reviews on them and you decided to go there WHY do you need to be graded on YOUR choices. There is no right or wrong choice in dining, live & learn.I have disagreed with many opinions on this board but I choose to eat there anyway
and usually found it good or bad. It's just too many people act like that kid at the swimming pool"look mommy I am about to dive" here are my AR look at them and tell me what to do.Get some dining backbone and just EAT.

You are funny. You put the word fightened in quotation marks...why? Where in her post did she indicate that she was frightened? She asked for feedback, she got it, and now she and I are having a conversation about split stays at resorts. You are trying too hard to :stir:

Wish-Yes, split stays are great! We are renting points at BWV from Sun-Fri. that is the "core" of our trip and we will focus on Epcot and MGM while there. Fri and Sat nights we will be at the WL...that resort just seems like "home" to us. I tacked on the stay at POP at the beginning of our trip just to get one more day at WDW! Why not, right? :confused3

It is not hard to do, but we drive to WDW, so we have a car. But I *think* if you do split stays, WDW will provide you w/free transportation. I may be wrong, but I think I have read that somewhere.

Ok, we only have 179 more days to go!

I didn't say "SHE" was frightened I said why are some "People".
And I am not trying to stir up anything just me making a point on long felt feelings on "some" people on these boards. Those "some" people get to crazy with the needed hand-holding for the little things and it just came out of me on this post.Sorry. But I am sure of it that I am not the only one here that feels this way.I don't mind the asking of questions & opinions thats why most of us are here, it's just the over-the-topness of some of the stuff.

Well, maybe you can ask the mods to start another board and have it run the way you want it to be run. Until then, you are just being negative. If you don't like a thread, you don't have to open it, and you certainly don't have to post on it.

Why do you post a picture and a review of EVERY SINGLE THING YOU ATE on your last trip? I am not saying I mind it...I like that, actually. But isn't it to help people decide what to eat?

Go ahead... keep on stirring! :stir:

I think your missing my point.I LIKE to help people, that's not my issue,it's the
hand holding I dislike, that's all.People including myself like to see other's food pictures so I keep the pictures coming when ever I can,I am just very picturesque. This board is all about opinions,so why is mine so different than
any one elses? Just because it's on the slight flip side?

Because your opinion doesn't help anyone, all it does is make someone feel bad. Why would you want to do that? Do you really think because you posted that comment to one member, that you are going to stop all of the threads about ADRs? Of course not. All you are doing is being negative. You can't control the board, so why even try?

Like I said, I love the pictures and reviews. I just think it is odd that soemone who takes a picture of every item to enter his mouth on a trip, including food court items and snacks, would think that someone who asks opinions on ADRs is frightened and wants hand holding.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. :wave2:

Agreed
(I took a picture of "almost" everything that enter my mouth :smooth:
