ADR's - this is what I got

Hey peeps

So excited by 90 days out has come and gone....

Here's what I've got booked so far.

July 3rd - 9am - Cindy's
July 3rd - 5.55pm - Crystal Palace
July 4th - 7.25pm - Le Cellier
July 7th - 6.50pm - 50's Prime Time
July 8th - 6.45pm - Ohana's followed by a Wishes Cruise leaving from the Poly
July 9th - 2pm - Mama Melrose (wanted the Fantasmic Package but they had nothing and didn't want H&V or Brown Derby).
July 10th - 6.30pm - Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom
July 12th - 8.20am - Donald's Safari breakfast
July 12th - 6.55pm - Chef Mickey's
July 14th - 5.05pm - Whispering Canyon Cafe (hoping to order cake!)
July 15th - 10.30am - Princess Storybook Breakfast (after doing the 7.45am Segway tour)
July 15th - 3.50pm - Sci Fi Diner
July 16th - 10.15am - Crystal Palace (is an EMH morning so hopefully some rides in first)
July 18th - Illuminations Cruise
July 19th - still to make a breakfast ADR for 1900 PF (and want to order the glass slipper)

How does this sound? I'm pleased with what I've got. Would have liked a Fantasmic Dinner Package and almost went for H&V but I wasn't all that impressed with it before. If it means having to get to Fantasmic a little earlier, I'd rather eat at Mama Melrose as it's somewhere I've never eaten before so thought I'd give it a go. Anyone got any cool info or comments on these dining locations?

Great choices.

Le Cellier - Fantastic. I missed out on it this trip but I love their cheddar cheese soup and the breadsticks they bring to the table, especially the pretzel bread.

Sci-Fi Diner - Tried that for the first time this trip and really enjoyed it. Make sure you ask to be seated in a car as you won't get the same effect at a normal table. Pictures coming up in my trip report soon.

Illuminations cruise - Also a first for us this trip and another really enjoyable night.

I haven't tried any of the others (apart from Chef Mickey's 16 years ago) but they all get positive reviews.

Looks fab! especially with getting the fireworks cruises in.
On our last trip we went to the Whispering Canyon twice, if you like to eat a lot, get that skillet thing to share, we loved it.

Sci-fi dine in, have to agree with wickesy, make sure you're seated in a car. The food isn't amazing there (not bad, just pretty standard) but it's the setting that does it all.

Le cellier is one of my favourite restaurants, it's always on our list. try the mussels for starters, those are amazing

You're gonna have so much fun!!!

How did you manage to book for your entire stay - we go on the 14th July and are staying in Disney and ive worked out mine to ring 14th April - 90 + 10

Some CM's will 'bend the rules' and book more than the +10. They won't start booking before the 90 days though so you are right, 14th April will be the first date for you to book.

Oh..Thanks for that, thought i'd missed the boat! And i s'pose if they can't bend the rules for a honeymoon couple, when can they.. Ive never heard of the Illuminations cruise-whats that?

The Illuminations cruise is a boat ride that includes a viewing of Illuminations at EPCOT. The boat picks you up at the Yacht Club resort, makes a trip up to Disney Hollywood Studios and then to World Showcase lagoon where it moors up underneath the bridge between UK and France.

Some lovely choices there. Other than Cystal Palace, where we didn't enjoy at all, the food was worse than H&V. I wouldn't go there again either.

One of our favourites that you haven't got on your list is the resturant at the widerness camp ground. A real bargin.

Hi Karen

When I phoned, the message says they will book for the entire stay so I guess they can do it. When I last phoned (yesterday) they couldn't book anything beyond 18 July for me but that was only because it wasn't in their system.

I'm going to work out how best to find people to share the Illuminations Cruise with us (the boats hold 10 people and people here often share with other DISers and share the cost). Let me know if you'd be interested and how many people you'd be looking for.

Oh some really good choices there, last year we did quiet a few ADRs CRT was great at the evening for us but didnt enjoy the lunch as much, thought Crystal palace was great. 50's prime time was good too nice food but massive portions but loved the theme and waitress despite her making us eat our veg lol Sci-Fi is great been a couple of times there now and definately make sure you get a car! Princess story book and RFC in AK was good too you will have a great time!

I booked first 10 days of ADRs yesterday as it was 90 days til check-in at YC... thinking i'd have to wait until 10days time to ring for day 11, then 12 -14 after that

however, i just rang today wdw-dine and was able to book days 11 and 12 too! when you ring it asks if you are booking from may 26th - july 20th.. so i guess that day in july will get moved on each day..

got an illuminations cruise too which i was soo worried about not getting - if i'd had waited another 10 days i might not have got it!!
DBFs family are taking us to wdw this year, so as a way to say Thank you - i am going to suprise them with the Illuminations cruise! will be a hard secret to keep tho!

can you let me know how much the cruise is? trying to sort out something for our anniversary, was going to do a private dessert party at epcot but these have been stopped now and the cruise sounds like the next best thing

Boats are $300 plus tax ($19.50) - this doesn't include tax for the boat driver. You get drinks and snacks on baord as well. Good luck trying to get one.

the cruise you have to leave a credit card guarantee but don't pay until the day (which is good because I'd just put CRT on my credit card the day before! ) .. if you cancel the Cruise <24 hours before then you have to pay full amount but before then it's ok to cancel.. also if there is inclement weather on the night of your cruise then you can reschedule or get a refund
the CM gave me the phone # of the YC Marina if I want to order any beers or wine for our cruise.. it's 407-934-3160 - if anyone else wants it!
