I just read that dining reservations can be made 180 days in advance, effective 10/27. I rented points for 2 studios (under seperate confirmation numbers & names) for the week of 4/17. I'm assuming that I will be able to call on 10/27 to make my reservations at 407-wdw-dine for my week since that will be the earliest I can call for 180 days....Do i give the representative my confrimation number that the dvc owner provided me with?? Since we have 2 families, can i book reservations for 7 under my confirmation number if there are only 3 of us registered for that confrimation or do I have to make another ressie using the other confirmation number for the party of 4?

WDW dining should have access to the DVC reservation numbers. Yes, you can book a party of 7 even if you only have 3 or 4 per room reservation.

Generally speaking, where you are staying (and therefore confirmation numbers) is irrelevent to ADRs.

The only benefit of having the confirmation number is if you want to use the +10 period because you are staying onsite. Onsite guests now get 90+10, which will change to 180+10 in October.

What that means is you can call at 180 days out and make ADRs for up to ten days after your arrival. However, nowhere near all of the ADR availablity is actually there during the +10 period. We have often found we could not get +10 ADRs, but got the ADR easily when we called back exactly at 90/180 days.

In your case that won't matter, because you will be fully within 180 days for your entire stay, but I wanted to mention it for other readers.

Sorry...I'm still confused. Yes, we will be staying onsite at the Boardwalk Villas, so I guess I'll need to have my confirmation number so that they can see that we arrive on 4/17 & leave on the 24th..then I'll be allowed to make all my dining reservations on 10/27? Now since I'm renting...I can still call and do this myself with the confirmation number ( I dont have to get the dvc owner involved)?
