ADRs or no ADRs

TS just about 90%, or even more. We like very little QS.
We rarely make any ADR more than 24 hours in advance but we always make ADR, we never eat without them
Our procedures are to open the app, search for the time and number we need and see what comes up that looks good. There are always plenty to pick from.
Sometimes we do this the night before, if we know we want to plan a lunch the next day. Sometimes we do this when we are getting hungry.
This has worked for the past 2 years, for 2, 3 and 4 people.

you can look at it two ways...lots of TS = relaxing mealtimes....or lots of TS means you're tied to a specific time and place each day for an hour or two,and you don't want to be. My family is the 2nd category. My Dsis family is the first. I like a TS or two over a week, but I prefer GOOD cs so we can choose as we go along what we want. it all depends on your preferences and wallet. ( I also like paying less $ too)

Yep, this is us too. I think people who go often are more open to trying different things a less stressed about the whole thing. We have never not been able to find something day of, and have done Tiffins, Flying Fish, Jikos, Sanaa, all day of. Half the time our ADRs are made a hour in advance.

Just curious what everyones personal preferences are for dining. I am struggling a bit with my upcoming trip. So many restaurants I want to try (both QS and TS) but don't want to overdue it. I believe dining is a big part of the vacation experience and something I look forward to the most. You can get to that over saturation point though. It does limit flexibility and tie you down. So what do you prefer? TS to QS? ADR to no ADR?

We do a combo or both QS, TS, ADR and non ADR meals. We are a family of 4, two DD ages 10 & 9. My preference is ADR for lunch since it usually gets us out of the heat and we need a little down time. It's always nice to know you will have somewhere out of the sun to go and refresh yourselves. After that, I try not to do more than one ADR/day if I can help it otherwise I feel like we have spent too much time eating and not enjoying the parks. I do have a few favorite QS restaurants but I try to do QS at off meal times so they aren't as crowded. I will say, if a QS has mobile ordering, it's worth it IMO. Good time saver. Also, I think it depends on how long our trip is, we are driving distance from WDW so we have done short days and longer trips and I'd rather not spend my time doing ADR's that take a good bit of time during shorter visits. And lastly, we pick characters or theming for restaurants based on what we like. We aren't terribly picky about food but theming and atmosphere are fun components to our meals that we like to switch up so we always try some new places.

I have family members with food allergies so we eat all 3 meals TS that I make ADRs for at the 180 mark. We find lunch and dinner is our time to relax and recharge.

We always do ADR's. I consult with my daughter and goddaughter on where they like to eat and plan the park around what they want, We usually do CS for lunch and TS for dinner and 2 or 3 TS breakfasts. I have to plan for a party of 8 but I only consult those 2 and inform the others dinner is at this time, if I am paying be there or your on your own. We have been 4 times already so when I asked this time they were ready with where we had to eat and thanks to YouTube where they might want to try.
