So I was up at 4 this morning (6 EST) and was able to get all of the ADRs and times (give or take 15 minutes) that I wanted for my DxDP trip August 19 - 27th trip. :woohoo: It will just be my DS15 and I and we're going with some old favorites and trying several new (to us) places.

Now I'm questioning a couple of my choices. :lmao:

Here is what I currently have, what do you think?

Aug 19th - AK Day with an evening at DisneyQuest
B - Chef Mickey's - DS15s favorite breakfast place
D - Fulton's - Once he found out it was on the DDP he begged me to book it

Aug 20th - Epcot Day
B - 'Ohana - have been before and enjoyed it but not 100% sold on it now... other options?
L - Chefs de France - have never been but love the menu
D - Le Cellier - never been but DS wants to go as it's "his home country"

Aug 21st - DHS Day
L - 50s Prime Time - DS has it as a must do
D - Cape May Cafe - never been and DS isn't sure he wants to go - opinions?

Aug 22nd - Water Park Day
B - Boma - have done dinner but never breakfast
D - Trails End - DSs favorite dinner on property

Aug 23rd - Magic Kingdom Day
B - Crystal Palace - This is a must do for me, but concerned that it's AM EMH so I won't get the empty park benefit?
D - 'Ohana - Must do as my DS loves the skewers of shrimp

Aug 24th - Start out at AK then move over to Epcot
B - Tusker House - have never been and a little concerned about this one
D - Yachtsman - Have never been but it's one of the Signatures I'm dying to try

Aug 25th - DHS Day
L - Sci-Fi - Have never been and it doesn't appeal to me but not sure what else to try at DHS
D - Narcoossee's - Have never been but the reviews here have me wanting to try it

Aug 26th - Epcot Day
B - Grand Floridian Cafe - trying some place new and all reviews of this place have been great
L - Coral Reef - have never been but have wanted to try it every time we've been down
D - California Grill - have never been but with all of the great reviews I'm excited to try this one

This seems like so much food to me, and I still have one more DxDP credit to use. Not sure where that is going to fit in, but I'm sure we'll have fun figuring it out.

Hi! Where are you staying? If you don't want the Ohana's breakfast, maybe just a sit down at your hotel? Might save on travel time, too. I haven't eaten there, so I can't comment on the quality, but we aren't big on breakfast anyway.

Cape May--if your son likes seafood, he'll probably like this. But if not, there is ESPN Club at the Boardwalk. Lots of sports on TVs while you eat, a bigger menu than there used to be. Flying Fish is a 2 credit place that gets great reviews, we're trying it for the first time in May. This would also use up that extra credit you have available.

Never been to Tusker House, can't help with that.

Sci Fi Dine In-- we actually really like this. The burgers are really good & HUGE. Hot fudge sundae desserts are soo good. And I love the atmosphere. Nothing like it anywhere. If you haven't been & are OK with burgers, I think it's worth a try once. But if not, Hollywood Brown Derby is a 2 credit place with very good food. We eat there almost every trip & have had good foods every time. Again, that would use up that extra credit you have available.

Have a great vacation! :goodvibes

I have one more comment: we use the deluxe dining quite often. We almost always order appetizers, at least salads. But we don't always like the desserts offered, so we skip sometimes them ( we are full anyway!).

We have even shared meals & just used 1 credit, then we have extra credit available for 2 credit places. We might do this at breakfast, for example, splitting pancakes & bacon. We would just pay for an extra coffee & juice OOP. We also did this a few times at ESPN. DH loves the chicken wings which are an appetizer. He eats them & I get an entree salad & we split a dessert if we want one. Again, we just pay for an extra beverage.

I know, who would have thought to stretch out deluxe credits, right? Like you don't get enough credits! :rotfl2: But we like to do signature places almost every night. And we usually can fit in 1 or 2 sit downs on departure day, too.

Here is what I currently have, what do you think?

Aug 19th - AK Day with an evening at DisneyQuest
B - Chef Mickey's - DS15s favorite breakfast placeMine too

Aug 20th - Epcot Day
B - 'Ohana - have been before and enjoyed it but not 100% sold on it now... other options? What about Kona's -Heard good about this.
L - Chefs de France - have never been but love the menu
D - Le Cellier - never been but DS wants to go as it's "his home country" One of our fav's! I love the mushroom filet and rissotto, the best IMHO

Aug 21st - DHS Day
L - 50s Prime Time - DS has it as a must do
D - Cape May Cafe - never been and DS isn't sure he wants to go - opinions? I have never been, but we walked by on our way to the Yatchsman (had made an unneeded detour) and the smell -super strong seafood- turned me off completly. I told DH I Was glad I skipped it.

Aug 22nd - Water Park Day
B - Boma - have done dinner but never breakfast
D - Trails End - DSs favorite dinner on property
YOu may want to think of a CS at the water park. We always get soo hungry here!

Aug 23rd - Magic Kingdom Day
B - Crystal Palace - This is a must do for me, but concerned that it's AM EMH so I won't get the empty park benefit? You many not get empty park benift, unless you want to eat super early. I'm assuming you don't have park hoppers? If so then move this to that Ohana breakfast you're not sure of
D - 'Ohana - Must do as my DS loves the skewers of shrimp My DD9 loves this one too :)

Aug 24th - Start out at AK then move over to Epcot
B - Tusker House - have never been and a little concerned about this one We did this in Oct. for the 1st time and really enjoyed it! A different variety of food, but some of the standby's too, ie Mickey Waffles!! Good character experience. They do a family photo but it's not included. We just "forgot" to make our way to the photographer.;)
D - Yachtsman - Have never been but it's one of the Signatures I'm dying to try SO VERY WORTH IT!!! Also a 1st time try in Oct, and Yummy! Excellent service and food!! They were running a little behind the night we were there, and I don't know if this is always the case, but worth the wait...

Aug 25th - DHS Day
L - Sci-Fi - Have never been and it doesn't appeal to me but not sure what else to try at DHS Another 1st time try in Oct. Great atmosphere, and I wasn't sure about this one. My DH loves Sci Fi and burgers so I choose this one for him. DD9 was entralled with the car shaped booths. We loved it! and the milkshakes for dessert for awesome. BTW DH was wondering if we could just walk in and order a milkshakes to go later on in the week they were so good and thick :rotfl:!!!
D - Narcoossee's - Have never been but the reviews here have me wanting to try it Personally haven't tried this one, but have a friend who loves it!

Aug 26th - Epcot Day
B - Grand Floridian Cafe - trying some place new and all reviews of this place have been great
L - Coral Reef - have never been but have wanted to try it every time we've been down DH and I did this last jan. The food was good, but it was very noisy for us. While not on our never to do again list, no attempt to return was made in june or oct
D - California Grill - have never been but with all of the great reviews I'm excited to try this one I think this one is my absolute favorite! We had a 7:00 ressie and our server timed it perfectly for the firework show!!

This seems like so much food to me, and I still have one more DxDP credit to use. Not sure where that is going to fit in, but I'm sure we'll have fun figuring it out.

Other places to consider Teppen Edo if you like Japanese, Mama Melrose if you want a Fantasmatic dining package. We also did Liberty Tree tavern -MK and Garden Grill- Epcot in Oct. They were okay, but there are better and worse places than these. GG was awesome with Chip and Dale and that's really why we ate there. We did DxDP in June and Oct. Mostly Character Meals for Breakfast (notice DD is 9), and signatures every evening for dinner in June. In Oct. we skipped a couple of breakfasts and did 11:00 lunches with late evening meals.

We used our snacks for a couple of lunches, and hit the CS a couple of times. Remember you can use your TS as CS because on the DxDP it just "meals" there's not real TS, CS definition. While others will say it's not the best use of your credits, you have enough Signatures where you're not losing money. Our family's experience is that 3 sit downs is too much. We did this one day and were stuffed. (Also don't forget you get apps and desserts on DxDP, and I can't turn either down when @ Disney). We also felt like we were running from ressie to ressie that particiular day. We felt a little more relaxed the days we ate breakfast and late dinners.
I know you're going to have a blast! I'm a little jealous thinking about these awesome resturants!!:upsidedow

1st - we liked the cape may dinner buffet and none of us are seafood lovers -- there's carved meat and plenty of other stuff to fill your plate.Plenty of choices, don't even worry about it.
2nd - we did the crystal palace buffet as a very late breakfast option, one of the last breakfast times they had (maybe in the 11 oclock hour) and found it worked great for us. Got plenty of MK early entry benefit and were hungry for a buffet then. MK is definetly the park you get the most benefit out of using as early entry.
