ADR's for lunch?

It really depends on when you are going. If it is a busy time of year then I would definitely say yes. Or if it is a really popular place then I would make mine also. We were there in Jan (not a busy time), & it was hard to get lunch at the Sci-Fi. My kids love the atmosphere here. If you plan on eating counter service for lunch then you do not have to make ADR's for that. My kids also love to eat at San Angel (the mexican restaurant in Epcot). The food is so-so, but a neat place to eat.

As the previous poster said, if you are going in a busy season you will need ADR's for lunch. That being said, please let me add our experiences at WDW. On our first family trip we scheduled lunch and dinners. What we found is that by dinner time we were not very hungry. What we have done since is to have a large breakfast, snack or a light lunch from a stand in one of the parks, and then a large dinner. We found this to work perfectly, and saves money also.

I get ADR's for all meals. I hate stress. Well unless we are going to do counter service, which I usually avoid.

If you wouldnt like settling for counter service, or eating at a TS that wasnt your first pick for time or place, then make the ADRs ASAP

We usually go in a slower season (May or August) and we will make ADR's for lunch. It's nice to have them in case it's busier than expected. Nothing is worse than when you have your heart set on a particular restaurant and then get there and find a 45 wait.

I agree, I'd rather have them than not, especially in the parks. If you are there during a busy time, then they're almost a must. And, for places like CP at the MK, the last 2 times we were there and one of them wasn't even that busy, they were turning down everyone that didn't have an ADR. Even the Plaza gets busy during busy times.

I wish I had one on the day we went to MGM in December. It was so packed and still a week before Xmas. The counter service lines were 20 deep!! We ended up getting a pretzel for lunch, how I wished I had an ADR that day (& I usually do, but for some reason forgot to make one for that day--or even wished I packed a sandwich!!)

If you know what park you'll be at it's worth making one somewhere because you can always cancel.

I made ADRs for lunch (the only one we're doing at lunch) because we have such a big group (15) and didn't want to have a big mess. pixiedust:
