ADRs for LeCellier, impossible?

We just finalized our dates (December 1-5) for WDW so we're making our dining plans. My parents have ate at LeCellier in the past and it is their fave. When they were there in March, they could not get ADRs (not sure when they started trying) and could not get in as a walk-in either. I have been trying for the last week online and can not get a time either. I tried everyday from open to close. Out of curiosity, I tried CRT and it's available! It seems like Le Cellier is now the hardest ADR to get. I only need it for 2 people.

Would I have better luck calling everyday, vs. checking online? I just don't have a lot of time to call and listen to the 2 minutes of questions on the regular line. Is this also done on the dining line? Is there a way to bypass it all?

Any other tips to get a ADR for LeCellier?

Thanks!

Le Cellier is especially difficult to get an ADR at now because they are saving tables for the Candlelight Processional. Keep trying online and calling as people do cancel. Good luck!

We were unable to get dinner reservations for our trip this July but had no problem getting lunch reservations. I understand it is almost the very same menu.

Never thought about the CP. That is something I will have to look into. They may enjoy that, and the dinner would just be a bonus. Thanks!

I just checked the CP threads, and a lot if rumor and speculation, plus different restaurants are mentioned, so now I'm confused. Can someone give me a quick explanation of this and how it ties in with LeCellier? Thanks!

If you really want Le Cellier, you should keeping trying. I like the online system because you can do it anytime and it only takes a few seconds. Last September, nothing came up initially, but as the time for the trip came closer, things began to open up. When I called dining, they recommended trying frequently when the 45-day window arrived because a lot of people cancel trips just before the payment is due, so that opens up some reservations. Good luck!

I was able to get 9:20pm adr at Le Cellier for 12/28/10 on Tuesday of this week. Its for 2 and we like eating late and then we will stay for evening emh at epcot. We have also gotten adr for Le Cellier each of the last 4 years during xmas week and last year it was at 90 days. I guess becasue we are very flexible with day and time. Once the CP package is announced, you will be able to make CP package adr but I'm sure they will also go quickly as it is a very small restaurnat. If you have an existing adr before the CP package is announced, you can't "transfer" it to the CP package. YOU HAVE TO TRY TO BOOK THE PACKAGE THEN CANCEL YOUR PREVIOUS ADR.

I tried to make dinner reservations at Le Cellier for my trip in May and failed miserably. Just keep checking the website every day and hope for a cancellation. I don't think there is any benefit to calling opposed to using the online system. I have used the Internet almost exclusively since the option became available.

I've gotten some great ADRs just because I've kept trying. I try different times and different days (if I can be flexible). I was able to score ADRs for Ohana and Le Cellier this way (within days of leaving for a trip). Make backup plans just in case but keep trying! It's worth a shot. Good luck! :thumbsup2

I had no trouble getting dinner for 2 in July, 180 days out. However, Grandma who was going to watch the kids that night isn't coming anymore so now we are a party of 4. :headache: I have been trying multiple times a day to get it for 4, with no luck.

I agree with other posters that the key is to just keep trying. (I far prefer checking online to avoid getting the third degree on the phone.) I started planning my trip for October at the start of this month and initially planned my schedule around the LC reservation that I was able to get since it was the only TS meal that everyone in my party wanted to get. (We did a lot of Signatures last year and were looking to stick to 1 credit and QS meals this time around, which is why it was everyone's #1 choice.) I kept trying for another date that would have allowed us to avoid F&W weekend crowds and finally was able to score reservations for the day I wanted. So I say, keep trying!

If you use the online system, I wouldn't trust requesting reservations by meal (lunch or dinner) - I found that sometimes reservations that were unavailable when searched by meal were available when searched by hour.

Good luck! :cheer2:

I got a Lecelleir lunch and dinner for my upcoming August trip. I got these the early morning of my 180 day mark though. Don't give up!!! Keep calling a couple of times a day. In 2008 I couldn't get a Lecellier. I ended up getting a lunch there about 2 weeks before our trip. If you can't get one walk up at 11:30 am. I have seen early walk ups get in. Good Luck!

I got ADRs on the 180 day for Dec 3. DH is trying to talk me out of them. If he is successful I can let you know. They are for 4 though. In the meantime keep trying!

I was doing it by meal time and it said nothing available then tried by the hour I wanted and there was magically a reservation open.

I have never had a problem getting into LeCellier at the 180 day mark, for four. In fact, I have dinner ressies for my Thanksgiving 2010 meal. It just takes planning and calling in at 5 am on the 180 mark. However get in quick, I have heard this is going to a 2 credit meal. We tried Waves at Contempory this past July and it is every bit as good as LeCellier. When LeCellier goes to 2 credits, we will go to the Wave.

I agree about The Wave..we ate there last minute during our xmas week trip(got some day adr by phone) and it was wonderful!!!!I also have not had problem with getting Le Cellier. I think that it will be a mute point for us if it becomes 2 table service, if the 2011 ddp takes away dessert(as others have speculated). We will just pay OOP for meals..it was well worth it when it had apps, entree and dessert, convenient and ok deal with entree and dessert, not worth it for entree and beverage..please!

Christy, here is information from the 2009 Candlelight Processional. I hope that it answers many of your questions. There is much speculation on when the information for this years Candlelight Processional packages will come out and booking can be made. Most answers from WDW have said from late July to late August. But you never know...
