We have reservations for Goofy's Kitchen at 12N on Saturday. However, we may be able to make it early.

What are the chances of us being able to go standby? And how long does your family normally stay at the buffet from start to finish?

I am trying to plan our day with RideMax, and am having issues trying to figure out when to start our day.

We are arriving in Anaheim airport (SNA) at 9:30am and plan on having our hotel hold our luggage until check-in. From there, we would love to go right to brunch @ Goofy's. But since we are not sure how things will be that day, we made reservations for 12N brunch.

For now I am planning on a start time at the park at 1:30pm, just in case we can't make it to brunch any earlier. It is a Saturday and I am sure they will be busy.

Any advice? How would you do things?

Is this a day when Goofy's is open until 2 p.m.?

Well, I find that, for several of the restaurants at DLR, sometimes we get seated right away without a PS, but if we have a PS for a designated time and then show up early, we have to wait. That wouldn't discourage me from showing up early, though, if you can manage it. It may be a slow time and you may get a table right away.

As for the amount of time needed, many people don't need the full 90 minutes at a character meal. To be honest, I don't think we had ever stayed at Goofy's for a full 90 minutes until this past December, when I think we may have actually exceeded the 90-minute limit by a few minutes!:scared1: I think the reason we inadvertently ended up staying longer in December was because the characters were on the other side of the restaurant for the first part of our meal, and by the time they moseyed over to our side, they kept coming, one after another, to the table, and we got caught up in it and ended up going over the time limit a wee bit. Of course, the CMs don't come and push you out the door for 10 minutes past the limit, but they will start coming by a lot to ask you if you need anything else.

So I would allow yourself the full 90 minutes - just in case the characters are slower in getting to your section - but you may not need it. I guess it will depend on how busy it is that day.

Perhaps try a few different options with Ridemax? With different starting times.

One option would be starting DL at 11am, scheduling break for 11.30 (to give you time to walk to Goofy's.) In that time at DL Ridemax would probably schedule you to pick up at a FP. You could get some atmosphere time in too, and perhaps a lap on the Railroad or something. The break, assuming 11.30 start time, say 120 - 150 minutes depending on how fast the walkers in your group are and how slow you are at eating. Then Ridemax would schedule you to use the FP some time during that afternoon.

But try different options with different starting times, and make sure one of the rides is a FP.
