ADRs for 3, but 4 may be coming now

I made all my ADRs, for my upcoming November trip, at the 180 day mark. Got everything I wanted. There's three of us going, on the DDP. One of the ADRs is for Hoop-Dee-Doo.

Tonight, my DD's boyfriend told her that now he's having second thoughts and wants to come with us.

Can they just add one more to all my ADRs, or am I going to have to cancel them and hope I can get them all back?

Can we just keep it like it is, and just tell them, when we check in at the restaurants, that we have one more in our party. A party of three will, most likely, be seated at a table for four anyway, right?

A table for three holds four. Unless they have triangle shaped tables. I can't see a problem adding one more.

I had the same question and called the dining number to ask this. In almost every case, including CRT, we could easily change it from 3 to 4. However, there was at least one place -- I think it was O'hanas -- that we couldn't change it.

I'd call the CM and ask about yours.

Definitly call and try to add one more to your ADR. Shouldn't take long and is the right thing to do. You wouldn't want to show up and find that they can't accomadate your extra guest.

I had to do the same thing as my mom decided that she wanted to come this year. I was able to change all my ADR's to 4 even Le Celier :)

Thanks for the replies, now for another question.

He's still can't make up his mind whether or not he wants to come with us. (I asked him two or three times, before I made all the reservations and booked air, if he was coming and he said, "No". I think he really wants to come with us, but he graduated from college and has been sending out resumes. He doesn't want to get hired, then take off a week for a trip. I can see his point, but I think a company would understand if you already had a vacation planned.

So, to get back to my other question...if I were to call and add him now and he decides he's definitely not coming, would I have to call and change our ADRs again or just leave them at four and tell them that the fourth one decided not to come when we arrive at each restaurant?

Did they just add her, or did you have to cancel and rebook them all?

I don't want to lose my LeCellier or my Hoop-Dee-Doo ADRs.

I had to call twice - the first CM said I had to cancel the existing booking and then rebook for 4. I asked her to check availability first before cancelling anything. Of course, there was no tables available for Le Cellier so I just left all my ADR's at 3.

I called again later the same day and got a different CM who explained that I had been allocated a table for 4 on all my ADR's so she just amended the party size to 4 instead of 3.

If I were you I would change the party size to 4 and then leave it at that. If DD's boyfriend doesn't come it won't really matter as you would already have a table for 4 allocated even if you only have 3 turn up.

We are always a party of three and are seated at a table for four 99.9% of the time as they don't make tables for 3, only 2, 4, 6, etc. I do recall at Ohana's that they took a table for two and added a chair on one side both times we ate there. That might be the only place that I can think of that may have a problem seating your 4th person.

Just got off the phone with Disney.

I had to change my 50's Prime Time Cafe from three to four and Hoop-Dee-Doo has to be changed but they don't have anything for four on my date so I left that one for three. The rest, she just added one more.

When he gives me a definite answer and does decide to come, I'll have to cancel Hoop-Dee-Doo and pick somewhere else.

For the 50's Prime Time Cafe, she said that I don't have to call again, if he doesn't come. When we arrive for dinner, just tell them that there's only three of us instead of four. That's no problem.

Thanks everyone for your replies!
