Is the latest ADR for an in-park restaurant whatever the closing time for the park is that day? Or are they a little before then?

Anyone had experience with a dinner ADR around the park closing time? Did you feel more rushed than usual?

Our latest reservation was at AK for Yak and Yeti at 4:15 (the park closed at 5:00). I know online it wouldn't let us reserve any later...but it could be because there wasn't any room, not necessarily because the latest time is 45 minutes before closing. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you if we were rushed because we ended up eating dinner at 3:30 (we were hungry and tired so we couldn't wait). Don't know if that helped...but best of luck!

We did the Candlelight Procession one night and had the last sitting at Rose and Crown. We didn't get our food until after the fireworks. Now it's 9:30 and were just getting our salads. It was after 10:30 when we finished. We were with 2 other couples, the park was closed and there was no one around. It was awesome we took our time and had so much fun. It's eerie to be in the park after closing, when the lights are out and some area's are pitch dark. It actually took us over an hour before we left the park. No one bothered us.

No one rushed us through dinner

We have adr at Le chefs for 9:30pm last xmas week. We had a wonderful meal and were not rushed at all. Only trouble was getting around WS with Illuminations just finishing. It was a nighttime EMH so we went right over to Soaring after our meal and then did other FW stuff before strolling back to IG to exit park.

Another question about these late ADRs is about the bus transportation. Do they keep the buses running for these late diners? I always wondered this.

We ate at the Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom at park closing. I asked about bus transportation and we were assured that a bus would be available to take us back. I can't remember if it took us to the main transportation center or back to the hotel. Absolutely no crowds as we left from dinner!

I haven't actually been to it yet, but for our upcoming trip I made reservations for Yak & Yeti for 4:30 PM (the latest seating they have) on a day when AK closes at 5:00 to the public (there is EMH). I'll have to wait and see how it goes :)
