We are staying onsite for the first time this summer. I'm sure that I read that you can make adr's 10 days before the usual 180day mark, is this true, or did I imagine it?

Also, will I be able to make all my adr's on this date or will I have to keep ringing back day by day (this is what I had to do last year as an off-site guest).

Thanks:thumbsup2

You can't make them before the 180 mark but once you get to your 180 days you can reserve for the first 10 days of your stay, so effectively the last ADR you make that day will be 10 days ahead of it's 180 day mark. If you are there longer than 10 days you can reserve day 11 the next day, day 12 the following day and so on, so those will all be able to be reserved at 190 days out. Does that make sense?

Perfect sense, thanks for that. I might leave it until the 176 day mark so that I can book them all in one go.

Thanks again:thumbsup2

Are you planning on booking them over the phone or online? When is your 180 day mark?

If you have some popular restaurants, try and put them later on in your trip if you can so that you don't lose out. Depending on when you are going, some of them book up ridiculously quickly. Do you have your wish list made up yet? :yay:

We're going for the last two weeks in august, our 180 day mark is the 16th of feb. We've got the qsdp, so not making too many adr's. We want to do the hoop-de-doo, t-Rex and safari breakfast at tusker house. Might fit a couple of others in...

I've phoned in the past, but would try booking online if it's straightforward. Have you tried this?

I phoned in the past but last year (2010 ) I did it online and it was much quicker and easier.

If you do it online you need to get your resort reservation number in a 12 digit format. YOu should be able to get that from your travel agent/Disney/whoever you booked with. Again, just let us know if you have any hassles with that.

I think your Hoop de Doo may have to be done over the phone as you need a credit card to reserve it. Also try and get the Safari Breakfast booked at least at 180 days if you don't want to risk eating at odd times.

US Free Dining starts mid August so the restaurants/reservaton system typically take a bit of strain initially. With QSDP you should be able to space them out though, but still, remember other onsite guests also get the +10 days so get your mus-do's done first. T Rex is not on the DDP and I leave my non DDP restaurants much later and have even changed times/days with them a week before we travel with no problems.

EDIT: Just seen your signature - are there 8 of you? Rather reserve at 180 days. It can be harder to seat bigger groups.
