ADRs and Split Stays?

We will be doing a 6nt/3nit split stay at WDW. Since our split stay is considered to be two separate reservations, when I start making ADRs at 180 from my check-in day at the first resort, will I be restricted to only reserving ADRs for the dates we are at that resort? (In other words, only the ADRs for the 6 nights we are staying at the first resort, rather than all 9 nights we will be in WDW?) Then would I have to go in again at 180 days before the beginning of our second stay to put in ADRs for the last three days?

By reading other posts, it seems that going online does have that problem of only being able to make ADRs for your first resort stay. Personally, I always like to do my ADRs by phone. But you need patience and persistence. My first call, the CM wouldn't do it -- said the "computer" wouldn't let her. I made a second call (because I know Disney is full of people who say "no" when the answer is really "yes"), and the CM said it couldn't be done. Period. Good-bye. Third call, the CM made all my ADRs for both resort stays with no problem! Now you go figure, is it a Disney rule to book only one set of ADRs on a split stay, or is it the competence of the CM?

If you're like me, you can do 180+10 ADRs for a split stay, but you will have to call 1, 2, 3, 4 times to find the CM who knows how to handle the transaction. It's worth it for the hard-to-get places and times.

I couldn't do it online but when I called they booked me for 180+10 no problems.

The online system doesn't allow you to book everything at once for a split stay, but you should be able to do it by calling. As the pp said, you might have to call more than once as some CMs might tell you it can't be done, but the CMs on the phone are able to do it. Good luck.
