ADR's and Park Hours

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if someone could help me with a pretty basic question I guess. We are going back to WDW in December of 2009. This is the first time we will be there this time of year and I think the parks close earlier during this time. My question is regarding ADR's and table service restaurants in the parks. When is the last reservation that you can make? Are the restaurants open after the parks close? Is the last reservation at close or a while before so the restaurant closes when the park does? I am just trying to make a basic plan for our meals so I will be ready to make reservations when the time comes! Thanks so much!

I am sure the restaurants stay open for diners...I know too that when you make your ressies, the CM will know the park closings..

I was wondering the same thing. I initially got reservations at the Tusker House at Animal Kingdom for 4pm and when I called a few days later to try and change it to a later time, the reservations person said the park closes at 5 and the restaurant closes too. Can that be right?

hlm- that is my fear and concern about going this time of year....I want to maximize our time in the parks so I was thinking that I would schedule breakfasts before park openings and hoping that I would be able to do the same thing for dinner, but I thought I read once that the restaurants in the parks closed with the parks....I guess we could always try some resort restaurants. I will have three little ones with us though so that may limit our choices. Their ages will be 5, 2, and 9 months.

5:00 pm is the normal closing time for AK. They stay open until 7:00 during the summer hours. The other parks close around 7 or 8. They are open later around Christmas and New Years.
