ADRs and MDE linking question

Sorry if this is obvious but it seems confusing to me :/
If 2 families make dining reservations in advance and then closer to the trip decide to link together on MDE, how do the ADRs transfer over? Will they just all be combined and viewable/changeable by everyone? What happens if two of the times overlap? I know you can't make dining reservations within 2 hours of each other, so does one or both get lost? Thanks in advance!

ADRs are viewable by anybody in the party listed in the ADR. They may be changed only by the person whose name it is in. Neither will get lost as different people will be on different reservations. If you have invited the person whose names the other set is on to plan and share I think you should be able to see those in your MDE.

Thank you! I would have felt really bad if we linked and somehow lost a reservation. The whole linking process confuses me, I need to play around with it more.
