Hi, This is my first post on the board. As a 6 time veteran of Disneyland Paris, I have just booked our first trip to WDW (2 weeks at Polynesian in Sep). I am loking at securing some ADRs, particularly CRT on my daughter's birthday, and have read that if you're staying at a Disney property, you can book 180 days prior to your arrival rather than dining date. I can however find no further information.

Has anyone used this system? and if so, what did you do, is it simply a case of phoning the number and giving your name and date of arrival at the property, or do you need booking references. I did not book direct through Disney, so have no Disney ref.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Richard

Hi

You can book 180 days in advance even if you are not staying on Disney property.

It is really easy to book ADR's, ring Disney Dining and follow the instructions. If you are asked to put in your home telephone number drop the first '0'.

Thanks for the reply. I understand that, but I thought you could book earlier if staying on site - 180 days prior to arrival. My daughter's birthday is on the 10th day of our holiday, so in effect pushing the ADR to 190 days rather than 180 and increasing the chances of a reservation?

You can book 180 days from the date of check in and another 10 days forward from that date ..... onsite guests get 180+10, so dependant on your date in Sept you should be looking any time now .... i check in on the 23rd of Sept and I can do my ADR's on 27 March for all restaurants up to the 3rd of Oct all in the one call.

i hope that makes sense!!

Excellent, thanks for that. We check in on the 15th, so I can make my bookings this weekend :woohoo:

Any idea what info I need?

Hi richyrich and welcome to the Dis!

The Poly is a wonderful hotel. You will have a magical stay I am sure :)

You will need your credit card and that's about it (obviously you will know your address, size of party etc already ;) )

Since they made changes to CRT I understand it is not as challenging to get those reservations so I'm sure you will be fine if you book 190 days before (using the methods excellently described above :) )

if you have booked your hotel direct with Disney then they often ask for your reservation number to verify you are an onsite guest to be able to do the 180+10 if through a tour op just let them know who.

I haven't been told this personally because I do ADR's for my clients, however one of my clients called her own ADR in and they advised her that if on checking they found she was not an onsite guest they would cancel the ADR's booked. I was able to call and vouch for them being genuine guests and give the relevant info so protecting the ADR's. Just thought that may help.

Thanks for the replys all. I'm sure i'll have more questions over the next 6 months. I look forward to being part of the board.

Hi, I made the reservations as suggested, and got the times I wanted for CRT. I also booked Crystal Palace (Breakfast) and O'Hana (Dinner). Now I need to wait a few days to book the last couple, but at least the pressure is off.

thanks again for your help.

:cool1:
