I saw his speech on the news this morning. He almost had me in tears! He seems like such a sweet-heart. I'm glad to hear he got two standing ovations!!

I understand that he lost 35 pounds for the role. The Oscars sometime respect that type of committment to the craft such as when Tom Hanks won for Philadelphia.

Really seemed to SSB that she was a bit miffed that he did that, particularly when he made a comment about it, just after... along the lines of the bonus that she was not expecting.

It's great. Just hit the right tone. Not too offensive, but not fake-toned either. He looks very cute too. I love it when they're truely suprised as they're honored by their peers. What could be better?

I heard that he is actually a New Yorker, growing up in the Bronx?? I kept thinking he's European.....
