In September my family and I will be making out 3rd trip to wdw. This time we are getting ourselves organized, i.e. making ADR's etc.
Would somebody be able to give me a quick idiots guide to making ADR's.
What no. to call , best time of day to call, what information they require and do you need to make deposits etc.
Any help will be much appreciated.

You phone the disney dining number on 0014079393463 at 90 days before you want to go. You can book 100 days before if you are staying in a WDW resort.

The lines open at 7am their time so you can phone from Midday onwards.

Some restaurants do take credit card numbers to hold the reservation (Akershus for example) others such as Cinderella's Royal Table take the full amount. Most don't take anything at all, you pay when you arrive.

If you are on the disney dining plan then you shouldn't actually be charged on your credit card at all but they may still take the number for confirmation.

You get a reference number and time for each reservation. Keep this somewhere safe.

If they are taking money they will give you the full amount and the cancellation terms.

Any other questions just let me know. Have a fantastic trip.

This is misleading - if you are staying in a WDW resort you can book your ADR's 90 days from your check in date and then book ADR's for up to the 10 days of you holiday.

Payment is taken in full for all dinner shows & CRT. Credit card holds are taken for Akershus, California Grill and Fantasmic dinner packages. (There may be others but I am not sure). If you are on the DDP then they will take a CC hold for meals that would normally be paid for in full.

If you don't get free international calls included on your phone you can use a number such as telediscount (Google for the number) and calls will only be 1p a minute. :thumbsup2

Elise79 you are exactly right it should be 90 days plus 10 but I have been able to make more than one reservation 100 days in advance, trust me the CMs don't always understand the official rules themselves.

I have found mid week evenings (uk time) much less busy that weekends. Have a list of all your requests beside you with a pen and plenty of space to note reservation numbers and / or changes.

Also if you have any dietary requests eg allergies, vegetarian etc, tell the operator at the start and they will record it on all your reservations. Handy for when you get to the restaurants as it is printed on the slip for your server.

You lucky thing, wish I was booking ressies!!:coffee:
