ADR times for Wishes viewing?

Hi,

We'd like to try and time our ADRs (at either CG or Narcoossees) and request a window table for Wishes...is there a rule of thumb for how much before closing (and therefore fireworks...) we should make the ADR?

Dining dates are 9/30-10/2...MK hours on those dates are:

9/30 11pm close
10/1 9pm close
10/2 6pm close

Also, if we wanted to see Illuminations and eat at Le Cellier, what time should we dine so that we can get out before Illuminations? (I assume you can't see them from inside? LC isn't a restaurant i've seen mentioned as being good for this.)

Can't help with Illuminations, but we almost always have success in getting a table at California Grill and/or Narcoossee's about an hour before fireworks time. That usually means we're somewhere in "mid-meal" when the fireworks start--we just get up, go to the outside viewing area, and then resume our meal when the show is over.
Window tables are nice, but not always easy to get. And I should add that even if you get a window table at Narcoossee's, you may have to go outside anyway. The viewing "deck" there is level with all the tables inside. meaning that when everyone goes outside to watch the fireworks, they assemble right in front of the window tables, blocking any view.

you need to check the time b/c when we are there Wishes is at 10 pm- in late July -we have ADR at 8:10 at Ohana's

Well, for Le Cellier.... I would eat as early as possible because sometimes service there can be not so swift. We had ressies for 5:45 last year...by the time we got seated...waited for the main course, then waited and waited for the dessert and waited and waited and waited for the check it was nearly 8:35-8:40. Still out in time for Illuminations but not early enough to get a good spot. I made our ADR at Le Cellier for 4:00 this year.

I based my ADRs on 1 hour before the published fireworks time for the night we'll be dining -- I think at this point that's the best I can do?
