ADR thoughts, how does it look?

I have completed our dining reservations for our April trip and now I want to run my itinerary by the DIS professionals for thoughts and feedback. We are a family of 6 with 2 adults, 2 young adults (early 20s), and 2 teenagers. We will arrive on a Friday morning and then depart Wednesday morning to head to USO for the remainder of our vacation.

Friday - arrive at MCO ~ 8:15 am. Take ME to Beach Club Villas.
Beaches and Cream lunch reservation - 11:10 am.
Epcot that afternoon/night, no dinner reservation, wing it with QS.

Saturday - Hollywood Studios day.
Cape May Cafe breakfast reservation - 9:10 am.
Sci-Fi Dine/Drive dinner reservation - 5:00 pm.

Sunday - Magic Kingdom Day
Be Our Guest PPO (as or right now) breakfast reservation - 8:00 am.
Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner reservation - 5:15 pm.

Monday - Pool day (hello Storm Along Bay!) and then a park that evening.
No dining reservations this day. BC Marketplace or Hurricane Hanna's for breakfast or lunch. We don't know which park we want to go to that evening, so we will wing it with QS wherever we go.

Tuesday - Animal Kingdom day.
'Ohana breakfast reservation - 8:00 am.
Rainforest Cafe dinner reservation at either 3:00 or 5:00 pm. I'm undecided on the time.

Thoughts?

I always feel that breakfast reservations are tough unless they are pre opening and get you into the park early- I feel as though it is loss of park time if you spend the early park hours in a restaurant when you could be getting on those rides which you don't have FP for. Just a thought to consider for your Saturday breakfast reservations.

Dinners we have found later times (7pm +) were better because with possibly a later or bigger lunch and maybe an afternoon snack we just aren't hungry for dinner at our usual dinner time. I guess just poll your family members and see what there thoughts are.

If you are not staying at the poly and you don't have a car - it might be difficult to get to breakfast for 8am and then over to AK. You might want to do dinner at ohana when you might be at the MK one day and just do a QS breakfast at AK that morning. I would pick the 5:00pm dinner at Rain forest - that way you have plenty of time to tour the park without worrying about having to head over to your ADR.

Thank you for your input! Some of my times do look crazy, but I do have a method to my madness, believe it or not, lol.

Normally I would have scheduled the Cape May breakfast earlier, but we have a really long day before (our flight leaves out at 5:30 am to MCO), so we chose the later breakfast to allow a bit of sleep in time. Since we are staying at Beach Club Villas the kids can sleep in a bit and we can still make it on time easily. We decided to do it on our HS day because we're not too concerned with time limitation that day. The last time we were at Disney, we thoroughly toured HS and we were not impressed. And now as the kids are older, they only want to do the "bigger" rides - Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror, Rockin' Roller Coaster and Star Tours. Depending on what FP times we get, we may not even keep the Sci Fi and hop to another park and do QS that night.

Since we are at Beach Club Villas we plan to Uber or taxi to the Poly for our 'Ohana breakfast. It was my daughter's one and only request as she is a huge Stitch fan, so it is must keep. I think we can bus it to AK afterwards from Poly...if not, Uber/taxi again.

I'm thinking you are exactly right on the Rainforest at 5pm...

I agree that later breakfast eats a lot of time. I would not sleep in on such a short trip tired or not. But if you go regularly no big deal. With the state of HS being a contruction zone I personally would use the evening park day for that and not devote a whole day. I would go to Epcot instead for a whole day or any other park..

You know...I hadn't thought about swapping the first 2 days and doing HS in the afternoon/evening on arrival day and then Epcot the next day. I think I'll look into that. Thanks! :D

...with the plus of seeing the star wars nightime spectacular..you can then take the boat home that first night!

I'm really hoping the Star Wars fireworks are still running then. We have 2 huge Star Wars fans in the group!

Is it possible for you to do Cape May breakfast on your checkout day? We stay at BCV and love doing this.

Rain Forest would not be one of our picks. Perhaps I'm biased as we have one in our home city. It's a national chain. Decent food, fun atmosphere but just nothing great for us nor unique to Disney.

For Animal Kingdom I'd go with Yak & Yeti. Had dinner there last week and all our meals were excellent. Boma at AKL is also one of the best buffets. While it has food for the adventurous it also has plenty of standard fare. Didn't make it to Boma due to hurricane closures for that night. Instead we went to Jiko at AKL on our last night. Very good food but also very pricey. Not sure its a good value.

I talked to the family and we switched some things around...we think this plan will really work well for us.

Friday - arrive at MCO ~ 8:15 am. Take ME to Beach Club Villas
Beaches and Cream lunch reservation - 11:10 am
Hollywood Studios afternoon/evening - Sci Fi Dine/Drive at 7:10 pm...or we may drop it and do QS...but ugh...the QS at HS...gotta think on this one

Saturday - Epcot Day
'Ohana breakfast reservation at 8:00 am
Dinner will be QS as there are so many choices at Epcot

Sunday - Magic Kingdom Day
Be Our Guest PPO (as or right now) breakfast reservation - 8:00 am
Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner reservation - 5:15 pm

Monday - Pool day (hello Storm Along Bay!) and then a park that evening.

Tuesday - Animal Kingdom day.
Cape May Cafe breakfast reservation - 8:00 am
Rainforest Cafe dinner reservation at 3:00 pm

I tried for Yak & Yeti, but Rainforest Cafe was my son's pick. Both of our kids each picked their must do and that was his and 'Ohana breakfast was our daughter's. We ate at RC last time we were at AK and we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We don't have one near us, so I don't mind, but I can definitely see where you're coming from if you have one in your hometown.

My husband and I plan on returning in a couple of years for my 40th bday and Boma is on my list!

If you are not getting to HS until say 1ish then i would maybe scrap the TS meal and do a QS- it looks like many nights it closes at 8:00pm so you will lose out on that last hour. If that is the case then you could just plan a late dinner at one of the BC/BW resorts restaurants.

Just a thought: I would try to switch the 'Ohana breakfast to your MK day to avoid traveling from BC to Poly back to Epcot. I'd replace BOG breakfast with Les Halles in France for your Epcot day. This is my FAVORITE breakfast on property!!

Edit: On second thought, since you are only spending one day at the MK I'd probably leave things as they are so that you can enjoy those first couple hours in the park before the crowds arrive. Arriving early really is that important at the MK, especially during high attendance times.

Since you probably won't be arriving to Epcot until late morning after 'Ohana, I'd recommend spending your free evening taking the short walk to Epcot, snack around the World, and catch some rides and attractions you may have missed.
