Sorry for any inconvenience.

You're right but if you can get on the dining FAQs page from the home page and scroll down you will see a link to online reservations. At the moment I can't get on the disneyworld site at all - we must have crashed the system even before online reservations open up!!!

I think people are placing WAY to much faith on today being the day they release it to the world.
The link in the FAQ still points to the FAQ - it is not broken, it just doesn't point to an online dining system. I don't see links anywhere else either. The pages for the dining locations only say to call.
Yes, I just rang the dining reservations line and was asked to ring back later. Disappointing but not totally unexpected!!They have removed the online adr booking link on that web addy, so now wondering if there were issues that caused the whole system to crash (since people are being told that the system is down) or if they just aren't releasing the online system to the public now. Frustrating......

Grin, shows someone from within Disney definitely reads these boards anyway.Hi there!

I'm only guessing here but, the reason the Disney site didn't work before was due to the volume of traffic which probably crashed it.
I also think Disney won't give an official online reservations launch time/date. It would make sense for them to launch it when no one is expecting it and let the traffic build up slowly and not one huge flood of people. Just a theory. Anyone else thinks this makes sense?
That makes perfect sense! I would also dare to guess that today could very well have been the day for this "soft" launch. But once word got out, the system ws overloaded (and perhaps not prepared) and crashed. No one will likely ever really know though...
