ADR System Upgrade - History

I called to make my 180 days out ADRS and was told by a CM that they are unable to book at 180 days. She told me to call back weekly as they get new times but officially I can't book until December? What did I miss here? Does anyone know what the deal is with reservations?

There is a sticky thread at the top of this forum about this. All of the details that we are aware of are in the first post.

I called this morning at 7am am was able to make CM & CRT reservations for the exact dates/times that I wanted for May 3-8 trip w/ DD. I am so excited!!!!


PS...This is my first post (and first trip to Disney since I was a child), but have been following this board for a while. Thanks for all of the advice and information Tricia, Disney Dine, etc!

I called this morning for our May 3rd - 13th trip and got Cindy's lunch for May 8th and Chef Mickey's for May 4th, we got the exact times we wanted too, woo-hoo!!

ohhhh...Patty.....I'll be quietly cursing you on Nov 4th when I'm up trying to make those same ADR's and I can't get in!!!

We'll have to compare notes. I'm looking for CM and CRT on those days.

Did you get your ADR's this morning? I woke up late (oopsies!) and called at 7:15 and didn't even have a wait! It was so quick. I got Cindy's lunch for May 8th and Chef Mickey's for May 4th. I'm so excited now!

Hello everyone. Just wanted to stop by and share the latest information I have on the new dining system. The "powers that be" have tentatively scheduled our training on the new system for late November and the first week in December. Looks encouraging for a December 22nd launch. Hope this is good news to you all that are waiting.

Same here I guess. It is so nerve wrecking hoping I don't mess up and call to late. Sure would mess things up if we couldn't get into the restaurants we chose for our upcoming trip. We try out new ones each trip.

I got Chef Mickeys breakfast today for May 7th!!! YAY!

So we all should not have a problem getting what we want if nobody can book any ADRS after March 22nd right?

My TA contacted me last night saying that the new ADR system now won't be available until December. Has anyone else heard this and is there an exact day in December of when it is supposed to be available? TA said she was just told early December - no actual date

Not your fault - more a case of Disney being a little slow on the update.

made my reservations for May 10th 8am and had a very nice conversation about the plans they have for the reservation system. changing from dos to windows will allow us to book online soon - how soon she didn't know.

booking adr's and tours would be great to do online.

So I did not know you could book CRT, CM and VA until June 19th. I thought you had to wait until your 180 day marker. Just got my reservation for CRT and CM in May. I am so grateful to this site or we would have no reservations. I can not wait to let my 4 year old DD eat at CRT!!!!

You can't book until June 19th for those select restaurants. 180 rules still apply.
