Tricia - Don't know if you get the allears newsletter, but this was in it (dated 11/4). Just an FYI, since we talked about this recently. Glad they decided to acknowledge the issue. :)

Thanks for all you do!

"NEWS BITES

CLARIFICATION: In last week's newsletter, we stated the following: "As of October 26, 2008, the booking window for Disney's dining reservations was extended to include dates up to March 22, 2009, excluding Chef Mickey's, Cinderella's Royal Table, and Victoria & Albert's, which can now be booked up to June 19, 2009." We should have indicated that while the reservation system has the ability to book these dates now, Advanced Reservations are ONLY being accepted for dates up to 180 days in advance. In other words, you will still have to wait until you are 180 days out from the date of your arrival to Walt Disney World before you can make any reservations. We apologize for the confusion."

Gatorlady

That picture is gorgeous! Where in the parks did you have it taken?

Thanks THE-ELLA'SMOM! It was the photo package picture included with your meal at Akershus in Epcot. (Princess Storybook Dining). I then embellished the photo in my PhotoPass account. :)

Excellent, thanks so much. We cancelled that ressie at the last minute last year, I am definately putting it on the list for next year.

Thanks for the updated! Glad that they addressed it.

Weird. They let us book last night for later in may. Our date shouldn't have been until late Nov.

When you're staying on site you can reserve 180 +10. This means that 180 days from check in you can reserve for up to 10 days of your vacation - so a mid November reservation would be entirely possible right now.

Someone knows about the new dining reservation system online that is coming soon?

Can you still make reservations 180 days out or is the new system not in place yet? I due to make my 180 day reservations this upcoming Monday

The new system is not in place yet. You can make ADR's at your 180 mark (or 180+10 if you are staying onsite) for CM, CRT and V&A.

There is a sticky at the top of this Restaurant Board that the moderators are updating with any new information that is received. :)

Just got off the phone this morning after adding a night to our existing reservation and the wonderful CM asked if I wanted to make my dining reservations and that he could transfer me. We are going in April. I told him that I couldn't make them yet. That they are updating the dining system, etc. etc. He said, no, no. I could make them October 17 and I should make them right away. He was such a nice CM. I am so lucky that I get the best CM's. Anyway, so, he didn't really jokingly believe me so he put me on hold and got someone in dining. Sure enough, he comes back, "You were right". Then he told me the dining CM told him that they starting training soon and that she THOUGHT, the end of November, they would open up ADR's until April 22, with going back to the 180 days at the end of December.

I think that is pretty consistent with the rumors around here. I hope so! I don't want to wait till December to make my ADR's :scared1:

I've read a rumour that the new system will only be available in the States. Is there likely to be any truth in that, do you think?

Nov. 22 or a little before. I plan to start checking a few days before.

The 180 days booking in still in effect, correct? Are you still able to book all of your ressies for the week at the same time? princess:

THat would be great for us since we are going in April. As I was reading your post I thought I was missing out. Maybe some of these CM's should read the boards to keep up on their knowledge.;)

You will be affected by the current upgrade to the reservation system. I'm going to merge this into the thread on the subject, which is stickied at the top of the forum. The first post should explain everything to you, but let us know if you have any questions. :goodvibes

Anyone have any idea when we will be able to make ADR's past March, 22. Thanks Ron.

Keep your eye on the first post of this thread. As of right now they are saying officially the end of December. However, I suspect that it might be slightly sooner than that.

As soon as we get updated information from Disney we'll update the first post in this thread.

Thanks for the updates, it is so helpful to have all this information!

I have a check-in for May 16th, I thought my 180 days is Nov 17th-is that with the +10? I really want CRT and CM...I'm confused, sorry!:confused3

I think you've got that right!

I think Tricia meant that some folks can be making ADR's for around May 15th, if their check-in date is, say, May 5th. They could've called starting yesterday, if they're staying onsite, for the +10.
