Can You Make Reservations On The Weekends, Too. I See Nov. 21st Is A Friday And I Am Sure The Phone Line Will Be Packed. Any Chance I Can Call Saturday Or Sunday Morning?

We are going to DW the week of Jan 2 thru Jan 9. Going with our family and a friends family but we have been trying to get reservations at La Cellar ?? have not had any luck. Is it worth it to keep calling each week to see if there has been any cancellations or is it better to try some where else. Any suggestions on anything like this place. I have heard very good things about it. This will be our families first trip to DW but friends family has been there before. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

so basically what this means is that the phone lines are going to be extra flooded on Nov. 21 because in addition to all of the people who's 180 days falls on Nov. 21 there are all of the people who have missed there 180 day mark do to this upgrade. anyone have any thoughts on this cause i am thinking its going to be really difficult to get through.

I plan to call as soon as the lines open. We are taking friends in April for their first trip and really hope that we can get our ADRs.

I am scared too! I get crazy though... I start calling and hanging up at about 5 minutes to 7! And i do a practice call the night before just to make sure I do everything right! the meals make the vacation!

yeah, it's going to be a nightmare. I'm guessing it will completely crash the new system! It would probably work MUCH better for everyone involved if Disney phased the dates in, like on Nov 21 you can make ressies up until March 15, then Nov 22 up to March 20 etc etc so that you don't have such a massive horde of people all trying to call at once!

When did you call to make that reservation? I just called on Friday and was told the 21st of November, but I initially thought it was the 24th as well. Please keep us posted

I called last Thursday to make ressies and only could make the one for CRT.

I was looking to make ADR's for the week of March 15-22. The CM told me I had to call back Nov 21.

It really stinks that the info is inconsistant. I mean I dont mind waiting until the 21st if thats when they start doing them, but as we know Disney sometimes will do things a little earlier and thats just unfair to the rest of us waiting.

I mean do you really need to call daily to find out???
That would be just a little ridiculous especially where it is a long distance call for most everyone.

Well, it will be good news for some and bad for others... The new dining reservations system has been pushed back again. Looks like on October 26th you can make reservations through March 22nd. However the new transition will now be late December. Read below for more detailed info.

As development of the Scheduled Events application continues, it has become necessary to adjust the previously communicated launch plan to winter 2008. The revised date for transition to the new dining reservation system is December 2008.

As a result of this change to the timeline, additional dates will be made available for guest bookings in DRS, which you may begin booking after October 26, 2008.

The last reservation date that guests will be able to book through DRS has now changed to March 22, 2009.

I just read another post that the system wasn't going to be running till December, but they were going to start taking reservations on October 26th for anything through March 22nd. Does that make any sense???? I just called Saturday and was told Nov. 21st. Did something change that quickly??

The more you read the more I think we really may have to just keep calling to see. What a waste of time and money.

I then spoked to somebody about a tour and he said that they may not be up on Nov.21. The moral of this is that nobody really knows what is going on with the new system. I would just keep on callling and checking the boards to see if anybody was able to make reservations past Feb 22nd.

You're always ahead of the ball by a day or so, and everyone here really appreciates you taking your own personal time to give us the scoop.

Certainly keep on checking on your own. I know that DisneyDine has shared several tips a few days ahead of an official announcement. They have always been 100% accurate, even when other CM's didn't know the details as of yet. I would feel fairly confident in their information, but you need to do what works for you and your vacation.

Unfortunately you were always affected by the upgrade. Reservations were open through February 22. On November 21 they were opening from February 22 to May 20. So you'd have been right in the middle of that rush.

Now that it's supposed to open in late December, you'll be a month later and still in the middle of a bunch of people calling.

Hope it works out better for you than you're anticipating.
