ADR system question

Do you ever feel like maybe something isn't quite right with the computer system.

For eg. today I called and asked if they had any CP ressies for our party of 11 for lunch or dinner on a certain date. They checked and the answer was NO.

I called back for a different reservation not 15 minutes later and figured what the heck and asked the same question again for the same date of CP. Now there was a later lunch reservation available, but still nothing for dinner. So I booked the late lunch, quite happy.

Then I got off the phone and decided since I got this ressie, I was going to cancel one of the others we had booked, as we had agreed to only do a certain number. So I called again...lol

But when I called back to cancel, I decided for the fun of it to check one more time on CP, as we really wanted dinner. The reservation lady checked lunch and dinner, and now had a CP available for the same lunch time I had already booked and one for an early dinner.

That would mean we went from no reservations at CP on that day for lunch or dinner, to suddenly having seats available for 22 at lunch and at least 11 for early dinner.

I know people cancel, but that many in a short time? It just made me really question if there are some big issues with this system, it also made me realize that I have to keep calling if I really want something. I used to feel it might be pointless.lol

As a bonus, I also got a ressies at 1900 Park Fare on a day for breakfast that I had previously been told was booked too.

I think my ADRs are now complete, except to keep giving a try for Chef Mickey:-)
 
I agree. I wonder if the reservation agents are at various remote locations, like their homes, working via the internet.

It can be frustrating!
 
It definitely sounds like something is wrong with the ADR system. It is down right depressing and scary listening to all of the comments from people trying to make thier ADR's. I hope whatever is going on is fixed soon before a few people snap and Disney has a rebellion on its hands! :confused3 Just kidding!
 
It's really frustrating! I found it also depends on who you get on the phone. I've had some insist there is nothing - like when looking for a late breakfast, sorry, only have 9:00 - then another person later will find the times I want because they know how to search the system better by putting in the times I'm looking for.
 

Some CM's are definitely having issues with the new system. I think the saddest part is that not everyone will keep calling back. I am sure that some will not get ADR's that they wanted which were actually available when they were told it was not.

Yes, you are correct about the home agents!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Waited about 5 hours and got one of the times/places I was looking for. I will keep trying periodically to get what I need. ;)
