ADR right at park opening?

I know how a PPO reservation works. And, I know how a normal ADR works. What about if you have a reservation right at posted park opening? How early do you need to get there? I have an ADR at park opening for DHS and I'm not sure how rope drop works there anymore and if I will be able to wade through the masses to get to H&V slightly before the posted opening time?

Tips and tricks appreciated!

Also, my reservation is for 4 but I have 7 in my party. I ASSume I can't get my 3 extra people in with me so do I meet them later or can they come with us to the restaurant and we see if H&V can accommodate? (I'm totally okay with not being able to have all 7 on a ressie for 4 but it's worth a shot, right?!)

Also, #2 - Is JTA still doing sign ups before eating at H&V?

I haven't done this, but I would plan to arrive 30 minutes before opening and find the line for early entry for dining

Based on others feedback, expect them to allow just the 4 in.

You can ask at the restaurant if they can seat the other 3 with you and text them to move it as soon as they let folks in
