ADR Question

This has probably been asked before but if I make an ADR and then we change or minds/don't go are there any repercussions?

We're going next week with the ILs and they are not planners (I am!) so anytime we go out to eat it takes like an hour for everyone to decide where to go because they are indecisive. It drives me batty. I made reservations for just our little family to go to a character breakfast but that's it. I mentioned to MIL making reservations for dinner a few nights and she blew it off saying we could just go somewhere (which I'm sure will end up being ordering pizza or something lame every night).

So with that said, when we went there with my family a few years ago we ate at the Sci-Fi place once and I know my son would love it with the whole sitting in a car aspect (he is obsessed). I was reading on here that everyone suggested you need a reservation there to be guaranteed a car. So that's why I ask. TIA!

I'm moving this to the Reservations sub-board. When you are on that board, please see the sticky thread regarding the credit card guarantee and cancellation policies.

(Note that Sci-Fi is not a CC guarantee restaurant - so there would be no penalty for missing a reservation there - but read that sticky carefully if this is a concern when booking restaurants. Also note that the policy is not in effect for most restaurants if the reservation was made before October 26, 2011.)

For some resutrants there is a $10 per person penetly if you cancel with less than 24 hours until the reservation. Most of ther restrueants on the list are charecter meals and signiture resturants. I do not believe there is a penelty at the Sci-Fi drive in. I would recommend making a reservation (if you can get one at this late date). Just cancel if you deceide not to go so another family can use the slot if you are not going to. Have a fun trip.

Thank you!

I booked our Chef Mickey's back on Oct. 11th. Glad I did that before the change with the addition of the credit card authorizations. Not that we plan to bail out but if something comes up, it will be nice to know we're not going to be charged if we cancel last minute.
