ADR Plan B Advice...

Thanks so much - your suggestions are so very helpful. We were only planning on doing 3 park days --- had planned to have a chill day to explore the resorts and DTD. I didn't realize that Boma had outdoor viewing areas. That is an excellent suggestion. Was going to Sanaa for the dining/viewing animal experience - but given we are seeing animals at AK - I guess it doesn't really matter in the end.
To be clear, you can't see animals from Boma, but the Animal Kingdom Lodge (which Boma is a part of) has tons of viewing areas, and it's a great resort to explore. I really liked the food at Sanaa too. It's just that when I heard "view of the animals", what I pictured was different from what I experienced. I have read reviews from people who had a great view and saw tons of animals. That just wasn't our experience. So I just always want to caution people, if you're going solely for the animals ... you might be disappointed. We were not the slightest bit disappointed in the food. It was one of our best experiences last trip.

Does CRT have to be a dinner? I would keep lunch and breakfast open as possibilities, if no dinner available. I would bet you will not have a problem getting a CRT dinner in January if you are up at 6 am on day 180. I saw several openings for CRT when I made my ADRs for the September free dining period. Of course, that assumes that Disney actually releases all available ressies at the 180 day mark. BOG dinner seems to be elusive for just about any time of year, unless you have a 10 night stay planned. We are staying 5 nights and nothing at BOG for dinner available at 180 +5. Nothing all week for BOG dinner (though we got lunch and breakfast. I would consider doing a lunch at BOG if you cannot get dinner. It at least lets you see the castle). Also, if you don't get what you want, keep checking. We got BOG dinner about 80 days prior to our July trip. Just for fun, I checked last night to see what was available for dinner on June 17th for 4 people. A prime BOG dinner ressie came up. People cancel all the time.
