ADR Order Help

Just double checking that I have my priorities straight before my ADR booking window opens on Tuesday.
Party of 4. Not many of these are must-do for us so I will absolutely make a different plan or grab QS if one of them doesn't pan out.

Space 220 LOUNGE for lunchtime at 60+2
(Adding, I know I'm as likely to get this at 60+2 as I am to be handed the deed to all of WDW but IF we were to go this would be the only time. It can't hurt to check, I won't be disappointed if we don't get this one).

Topolino's breakfast at 60+7
Oga's Cantina around lunchtime 60 +4 (not a must-do, DH wants to poke his head in)
Beaches and Cream dinner 60+3
Sci-Fi dinner 60+4
Steakhouse 71 dinner 60+7

ETA I would maybe like a Chef Mickey breakfast on departure day (60+8) because we're staying at BLT, but it's absolutely not a must do and I'm reluctant to hold an ADR for that when there's at least a 50% chance we'll just want to pack up and head out.

I would move up Sci-Fi and B&C. Oga's has been super easy to get lately from my experience. Sci-Fi and B&C more difficult, particularly Sci-Fi.

This version looks right to me. If you decide to add Chef Mickey's I'd put it between B&C and Oga's. I wouldn't put CM above Sci-Fi and B&C since it's for Day 8.

We booked our dining yesterday and had NO issues getting anything we wanted in the exact order we wanted. It was the easiest we have ever experienced.

I definitely will!
We’ve gone to Sci-Fi before so if I don’t get it I probably won’t stalk for a reservation between Tuesday and my trip. In cases like this I usually look the day before and if it’s available at a time I want I grab it and if not it’s the universe telling me to pick something else (like with Chef Mickey above).

I generally have really good luck for August trips. It’s also working in my favor that really the only must-do for this trip is Steakhouse 71 because DS16 asked for it and never asks for anything. Topolino’s is also a “really want to do,” but not a must do, and the rest would be nice but I’d be equally happy with something else or a QS.

I generally have really good luck for August trips. It’s also working in my favor that really the only must-do for this trip is Steakhouse 71 because DS16 asked for it and never asks for anything. Topolino’s is also a “really want to do,” but not a must do, and the rest would be nice but I’d be equally happy with something else or a QS.

I'm curious - when does your window open? Tomorrow? I hope you have great luck. Ours opened this morning and I was so nervous about getting reservations (our 2021 trip was so tight with getting reservations and it was me constantly checking back)..... and I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to get everything on our list this year with no problem (including Space 220, Topolino's, Oga's, Beaches and Cream, and plenty of others on our wish list). I could've also snagged some of the notoriously hard ones to get if I wanted them - tons of Be Our Guest, Cinderella's Table, etc. I'm just curious if it's because it's August and no one will be there or just luck LOL

Same for us - we booked this morning and I couldn't believe how easy it was. It was almost like there were too many options for times and I was second guessing myself!

I think part of it is definitely the time of year- I rarely have to work too hard to get the ADRs I want for August trips. Some of it is also when you want which ADR.

My current plan is:

1. 220 lounge for 60+2 (I may honestly skip it, because chances are slim and it's not something I'd miss if we don't get it so I'd rather not waste time that I could be spending on getting the breakfast time I want at Topolino's. I'll see how I feel at 5:55 AM tomorrow).
2. Topolino's breakfast for 60+7
3. Sci-Fi for 60+4 (ahead of B&C because while I'm not going to be upset if I don't get this one, I would need it at one of two fairly specific times and I'm really not worried about missing B&C)
4. B&C for 60+3 (after Sci-Fi because we've gone plenty of other times, I would need a fairly specific time, and I'm okay with picking something else later on)
5. Steakhouse 71 for 60+7 (this one shouldn't be a problem)
6. Oga's for 60+4 (because if we don't get it at one of the two times that would work best it's fine and I'm honestly actually not thrilled about it in the first place but DH wants to look around, plus it's not really a meal but a drink and maybe a snack so the timing is a lot more flexible for us than a meal).

But knowing me that could change 16 times between now and tomorrow AM.

It wasn’t available any day or time of my entire trip (when I was done I went back quickly to check out of curiosity). It’s possible ADRs for it have not been loaded yet but in any case I wasn’t set on going so I’ll rule this a success.

But oooooooooof it has never taken me 30 minutes to book ADRs and I used to book twice as many. So many extra questions and glitches I was starting to lose it. I would ensure I had the date correct and then on the next screen it would have the Friday before (always the Friday before, no matter what day of the week I was actually selecting). Tons of error screens. I shouldn’t complain, it’s like this every Tuesday with Disney IT but again, ooooooooof.

Glad to hear you got (almost) everything you wanted. Looking again now, I see that you were going for Space 220 Lounge, we lucked out with Space 220 Restaurant reservations. I guess maybe the lounge is more sought after and/or fewer available reservations. Now, the fun part of the countdown continues!
