We are camping at FW for 3 days in Sept. Will I need to make an ADR for Trails End, or will we be able to walk in without a problem?

Since Disney started offering a variety of popular dining plans, walk-ins have become harder to come by as more and more people have sit-down meals. This in turn encourages people to make reservations 'just in case', sometimes thay show up for them, sometimes not. We got shut out of most of our Epcot dining choices in March 2006 and since then, we book something for every day, cancelling those we won't be using a day in advance.

I tried to do a walkin one evening at Trails End (we were staying at WL). I took the boat over only to find the wait 1-2 hours. YIKES. I could've stopped at the desk at WL and made an ADR, or have known about the wait, but I didn't, and had to come back and eat in the food court at WL. This was early Feb and a slower time then during September and free dining. We were use to just walking in to TE so didn't think we needed an ADR. So I always suggest making one, even if you do it before heading over because it can be a pain getting there only to find no room at the Inn for your family. Better safe than sorry (and hungry).

I've read so may similar posts around the net, so we made dinner ADR's. We've left a few nights open for CS, or just having snacks in a lounge. In addition, I made a couple of lunch ressies. It's going to be very hot in Aug, and a nice table in an air-conditioned restaurant is a temptation I couldn't resist. I totally agree-better safe than sorry!
