My family is booked for this coming July. We are at disney for 8 nights. We have the QSDP but are looking at booking 1 or 2 TS meals during our stay. My 180 day mark is coming up. We are going to book a dinner buffet at chef mickeys the day we arrive. None of the 3 kids have ever had a character meal so we thought it would be a great way to start our vacation.

We have been thinking of possibly booking 1 more ADR. We are at a loss as to what to book though. What is another not miss place that the kids would love? We have been think possibly a breakfast??

Thanks guys for your expert opinions

It's not really my thing, personally, but a lot of people really seem to love Boma. It's a bit of a trek to get there, but if you're doing an Animal Kingdom day or morning, it's a great place to start.

The kids can even check out the animals from the savannah behind the resort before your reservation, if you get there early enough. It's a nice primer for what's to come, and they apparently have very good food for a buffet.

I would try cinderella's castle or Akershus in norway if you have little girls...
We also love Tusker house, and 1900 park fare!

I like the food the best at Tusker House but in your case (since already seeing the Fab 5 at Chef Mickeys) I'd probably do breakfast at Crystal Palace and see the Winnie the Pooh gang.

Boma is NOT a character buffet and has very unique tastes. Unless you and all the kids are adventerous eaters I would not recommend this.

It is best to do another character meal for them. I would agree that a breakfast at Tusker house (Donald's breakfast) would be a good one.

There is also Crystal Palace in MK that has Pooh and friends. Kids love this one too and if you book early enough you can get into MK before the crowds for nice pics of the castle without people in them.

of the character breakfasts will have some overlap with Chef Mickey's. (It's our last meal of each trip.)

The princess' breakfasts at Cinderella's Royal Table and Askerhus have princesses (mostly) and leading ladies sometimes). One greets all guests as they enter (Cinderella at CRT) and poses for a picture. Four others walk around the dining room chatting briefly with the guests, signing autographs and posing for pictures. The posed photos are included in the package cost. (If there are five of you there are two photo packages.) CRT is the more expensive of the two.

Crystal Palace was mentioned above and has Pooh, Tigger, EEyore and Piglet. A lot of people like to book before the park opens so they can enter the park while it's fairly empty and get some uncrowded photos.

1900 Park Fare usually has Mary Poppins, Alice the Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger at their breakfast.

Cape May, Ohana and Tusker House are all good but you will have overlaps. You will pick up Daisy at Tusker and Lilo and Stitch at Ohana.

It's kind of hard to make recommendations since we do not know the ages or genders of your children!!

I think for girls 4 and up I would do Ashkerus in Epcot for the Princess Breakfast. I also LOVE O'hana's dinner buffet but they have a Character breakfast with Stitch and friends too.

To be honest I don't think you can go wrong picking a breakfast character meal, the food will mostly be the same wherever you go during the breakfast times.... Maybe look on Disney's Dining website for characters that your kids would LOVE to spend time with and go there!!!

We only did one TS meal on our trip in November, and when I asked my boys, it was Teppan Edo.

We also like Boma, and Marrakesh, Crystal Palace breakfast, and a host of others, but TE was the one they wanted to do.

Sorry! Forgot to mention that my kids are 10, 8, and 6 years old. The older 2 are boys and the younger one a girl.

The 1900 breakfast/dinner is a very nice buffet and not as expensive or "girly" as the other IMO and Cindy is at dinner for your little girl.
