Hey guys & girls, looking for a bit of help...

I'm a bit confused about making my ADRs for this September when the time comes. When I last went in 2009, I simply did them over the phone and got my 180+10 days too as we are going for 2 weeks.

First question: Do I need my US reservation number? Last time, this caused confusion as I only had my UK one. If so, how do I get it easily?

Second question: Can you make reservations for 180 + 10 days online?

Third question: Can you book dinner shows and CRT etc online as I remember my CC details were required for these eventhough I am on the DXDP.

Phew! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! :goodvibes

There is no guaranteed easy way to get it, but yes, you do need it for online ADRs if you want the +10.

Last year I got mine at the time I booked with Disney UK. This year they told me they don't have it and I need to call back.

I emailed Disney through the contact us link. Meanwhile, being impatient, I decided to phone Disney UK and within a minute I had my 12 digit and my alphanumerical number with no problems. Two days later I got a reply from Disney UK saying that they only issue these numbers 6 weeks prior to check in.

So depending who you speak to you may get different answers and keep at it until you get what you want.

Online wouldn't let you do the +10 a little while ago - I don't if that has been fixed yet?

You may still have to call - there are however a lot of Disers going in August so we should get reports back soon as to whether it is working or not yet!

It looked to be working last week when I checked but can't confirm until my 180+10 is here next month.

I never gave them my reservation number when booking over the phone - only gave name, where we were staying and UK phone number (minus the 0) - this is 10 digits - have booked many ADR's in the past and never had an issue with ressie numbers - I'm just going to ring them in a months time - seems less hassle

I rang for August 2009, it was a nightmare, took her 20 mins to find my UK res number before she would start taking ADR's. then had to do so many at a time(3 or 4) and confirm before going on to next. If they can locate your reservation OK might be straight forward but took us 1 hour 15 mins to do 10 ADR's. I couldn't understand her, she couldn't understand me, all very slow going.
August 2010 did online, could not be easier. Hope it works for me next month.

You only need the reservation number if you want to take advantage of the +10 days. If you phone a week or so after your 180 day mark it becomes irrelevant as anyone can book from 180 days, regardless of where they are staying. Did you book +10 without a reservation number?

It totally depends on who you get when you ring up. I've rung up without my US res number and booked ADRs 180+10 with no problems, but i've also done it where I did have a problem and was left on hold on the phone for about 30 minutes all I can say is its a good job I get free calls to the USA or I would have been very unhappy with Disney.

Thanks for all the input guys, I appreciate it!

With regards, the dinner shows and CRT - can these be booked online too? I remember having to give my credit card details for these last time.

Still not sure what to do, I'm thinking I might go down the traditional phone on 180 day mark...:confused3

You can book ADR's either online or by phone at 180 days(one day at a time), this is for anyone staying either onsite or offsite. If you want to book your 10 days at 180 days then you need an onsite reservation, the computer will not/should not allow them to book 180 +10 days without the res number.

Not sure exact date its changing to Signature but sometime soon if not already. Majority of people including myself don't think its worth 2 credits, 2009 possibly, 2010 the food had gone downhill drastically so no way will I return.

Thanks wayne.May try another 2 credit one.Are the shows hoop dee 2 credits? I understand from mart you all had a bon time especially with nigel:rotfl:

We had a great time at Hoop, looking forward to it again this August. Yes its 2 credits which includes your alcohol & tips.
Clip of Nigel on the bus, this was 2nd time, 1st time he almost fell off the bus.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: It would have been funny enough if he wasn't saying anything - but announcing to everyone on the bus to stand clear of the doors before almost falling out? Priceless! I really must review my decision not to travel in August. I think I am seriously missing out on all the fun :rotfl:

It looked to be working last week when I checked but can't confirm until my 180+10 is here next month.

It looked to be working in November when I tried to book it said it wasn't possible and I needed to call. Hopefully the last system upgrade fixed it.

LeCellier is changing on 1st March to 2 credits for dinner.

We had lunch in November and have lunch booked for May. We actually preferred lunch as it was less busy and we felt less rushed and I loved my steak

Thanks for everyone's input. I now understand that to do the +10days online, I need my US Reservation number so I have sent an email to Disney...fingers crossed! I am still awaiting a reply so failing that, does anyone know a sure-fire way to get this number?

Hey guys & girls,

An update...I got a lovely reply from Bev at the Disney Reservations Center with my US reservation number:

Thank you for your email requesting the 12 digit reference number linked to your booking.

The 12-digit reference number you will need to use for booking your dining reservations for arrival date starting on 01Sep11 is 123456789123. The earliest date you can use this reference number to book your dining will be 03Mar11. This date marks 180 days prior to check in date. You may book up to 10 days of your stay for your dining on this date. Each one day date after 03Mar11, can be used for the other four nights of stay.

You simply choose the restaurant(s) in which you wish to dine and decide on the date & time; availability will then be checked at the restaurant and your specified date and time will be confirmed or you will be offered an alternative if your first choice is not available. Then select the time you wish to dine from the options listed, 'add to dining cart' and then once you have made all of your selections just 'check out' and follow the steps detailed on the next page.

You may book your dining either online and insert the 12-digit reference number listed above. You may also call into the Dine Line and to speak to a Disney Expert by dialing US 407-939-3463 anytime between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, seven (7) days a week, and provide the above listed 12-digit reference number or if they ask for a booking number with letters, you will need to provide ABC12345.

A wonderful suggestion given to me in the past; you will want to try to book the restaurant(s) you really must dine in, first, on the remaining open days, fill in with the other restaurants.

We are looking forward to you making a lifetime of memories while visiting Walt Disney World and staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge in September.

Sincerely,

Bev

Now to start planning our dining! Thanks again for your help.

Oh, and the date I can start booking is my Birthday yay!:goodvibes

Yes I did - this was up to our last stay in May 2009 - so I wondered if it had changed since? Went to DLR instead last year.
