ADR help - traveling solo with DS5

Hi! I'll be travelling solo with DS6 in late August . I have just decided to take advantage of the free dining promotion for a last hurah with my DS before he begins Kindergarten. Ughh!!! We're staying for 7 nights and this trip is all about him. So, I would love suggestions for any dining choices that my DS may enjoy. Thanks so much for any ideas - I'm overwhelmed with all the dining choices!

Does he have any favorite characters? Breakfast with Stitch at 'Ohana and Chef Mickey's are both popular for boys, and Garden Grill in Epcot has Chip and Dale. Whispering Canyon Cafe and 'Ohana (for dinner) are both popular non-character meals for kids. At MGM, the ambiance at Sci Fi or PT 50's might be fun for him. He might like the show at Biergarten in Epcot, Teppanyaki if it's open (not sure when the refurb will be done). And kids love Rainforest Cafe -- I believe the one in DTD takes the plan, but not the one outside AK -- not sure why

For CS, Toy Story Pizza Planet at MGM is popular. Cosmic Ray's in MK has a corny-silly-alien-animatronic-type character. In Epcot, Sunshine Seasons has a lot of choices for kids, and Tangierine, the CS in Morocco, has burgers (kids' CS burgers are hard to find!)

Congrats on your solo trip! I have been taking DD since she was 6 also. These are the places my DD just loves and says are fun
-Chef Mickeys
-SciFI (she just loves eating in a car.. in the dark.. watching a movie)
-Biergarten ( she is a polka fool)
-CRT
-WCC
-Crystal Palace
Where ever you choose.. its WDW and its all fun!
Keep in mind to take it easy in the heat with your little one. The hot sun is a lot for my DD. We always have at least one sit down meal a day and I let her call the shots. I dont push her to be at the park at opening unless she wants to. Its ok if she wants to sleep in a little later or go to the pool for an hour.

My DS loves Donald's breakfast in AK and dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern in MK.

I took my DS for his 4yo birthday and he loved the character breakfast at restrantasarus in AK. We are goig back this year. Large dinosaur footprints on the florr and lokks like you are going on a Dinosaur dig. We saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale and Donald!!

Chef Mickey's, Liberty Tree Tavern, Hollywood N Vine Play N Dine(JoJo & Goliath & the Little Einsteins, Rose N Crown, Ohana(breakfast w/ lilo and stitch and dinner), Marrakesh, Whispering Canyon Cafe. These are all of the restaurants that my DD6 likes to eat at.

Donald's Breakfast might be fun for him if he likes dinosaurs. Garden Grill has chip and dale and the floor makes one full rotation while you dine so that you can see the settings from Living w/ the Land. 50's Cafe is really fun and dd will go there but she acts a little silly b/c they played a prank on her for not eating her greens.

What she thought was dessert was actually her greens w/ whip cream and sprinkles which she almost ate until I started laughing.

I am also going solo with an almost-5-year old next fall for free dining. I am from Maryland too! We also went last year (not solo) for free dining. Here are the places we have reservations:

Other places he might like: Garden Grill character dinner, Donald's Breakfastsaurus, Coral Reef (I could not get a decent time so we won't be there), Rose and Crown, Biergarten, Marakesh,

Counter service he likes: Cosmic Rays, Pepper Market, Tangerie Cafe.

Hollywood and Vine/ JoJo meal
San Angel Inn (inside Mexico)--he really LOVES the setting for that one--inside a pyramid, overlooking the "spooky" lagoon!
