We're arriving in WDW on 10/26. We have an ADR in place for CMC for dinner (it's at our resort) that I'm thinking of switching. We've already got 3 other buffets in our ADR plan besides this one, and my hubby isn't real keen on going anyway.

Our friends are coming with us for their 1st trip, so now I'm thinking we'd head over to the MK when we get in (noonish). There's really no place there I'd want an ADR for that we haven't already been to, so I'm thinking of California Grill. My question is this: is it a friendly place for a well-behaved almost 2 year old (our DS)?? I've always wanted to eat here, and our DS is truly is an excellent restaurant kiddo, but I don't want to upset the masses. Help!!!

And if not CG, do you have any other recommendations close to MK for us??

I took my daughter there when she was 3 and it was great. They have Mac and cheese that is Mickey Shaped. Lisa was our waitress and she even took my DD into the kitchen to make her own Ice cream Sundae. I dont think all the servers do this, but she was great to her.
IT IS DISNEY! People expect kids to be there.
On the down side, We had to wait a while, even with an ADR, and the food was slow. But it was delicious.

I think that your 2 yo will be fine (it is WDW). We don't have kids but we have been to the CG and seen many kids there. If you could go around Wishes time it is an amazing thing to see. I think you should go for it!!!

When we were there last time, we were amazed at how many children were there. We had left ours behind with grandparents, but realized we could have taken them and not been out of our element. Of course, it totoally depends on the child- but if they are good in restaurants and if you are a good parent who removes them if they aren't coping well. YOu should be fine. We did have one table of really awful children running nearby us and that put a damper on it....
This time we are taking our son with us, but leaving our dd2 with a fairy godmother as she is not great at dinner.

Thanks for all the feedback! :) I think we're going to go ahead and try and make an ADR there. Here's hoping we can get one! I would LOVE to be able to catch Wishes, but it's not a must for us. Thanks again!
