im doing a solo trip in May and my ADR window is approaching.
I've kind of decided that I don't need any TS meals, but thought I'd get opinions before to window is here ...

Whatever floats your boat. The upside to an ADR is you don't have to scrounge for a seat at CS or QS. I might just book dinner as TS (but I like a sitdown for dinner).

One piece of advice... I've found it's always better to search for 2 as there are some places (I know 'Ohana for one) that simply won't find reservations for 1. You can always go in and try to change it to 1 - or just not worry about it since as long as you show up you're not charged for the ghost.

I guess it depends on your trip schedule. if you're a go with the flow you probably don't need ts but if you want a time each night to take a break a few ts would be good. It really depends on your daily plan for the parks.

I travel to Disney solo quite often. One thing to keep in mind is this. Many of the table service restaurants (especially in the resorts and Disney Springs) have a bar or lounge that you can sit at and order off the full menu. A couple of my favorites are Sanaa and Homecomin'.

I did one Table Service when I solo'd, I don't think I'd ever do one again. I much preferred QS and being able to pick where I sat, as I love to people watch, and if I wanted to sit and read or surf on my phone I'd rather be free to go where I want and not be stuck by myself at a table.

I tend not to do TS during solo trips either...but, if you're unsure, my advice would be to go ahead and book something you might like when the window opens up, then you have until May to decide whether you want to keep it or not.

I go solo at least once a year and always have at least one TS meal but I don't book in advance. I have an AP so I can park hop, I just get on MDE close to when I'm ready to eat and find what's available. I also like to eat at the outside lounge at HBD at HS,love me a cobb salad and a glass (or two) of wine. I love the Nomad Lounge at AK as well, I don't eat large meals so it works great for me and you can't beat the atmosphere. If you are there in May, F&G might still be going on in Epcot and you can always make more than one meal out of tasting at the booths, I tend to eat most of my meals from there if I'm there at the time of the year. I don't mind eating solo at TS restaurants but I go out solo a lot at home. I always have my kindle loaded on my phone and read and people watch while eating.

Honestly, when I went solo last time, I preferred ADRs for TS meals over doing QS most of the time.

Yes! It is so nice to know there is a table for you and not have to wander looking for a table since you have no one to scout one out while you're ordering food.

I like ts. If I am solo I still like good food.

I do bring my kindle and enjoy dining and being waited on

I seldom make ADRs in advance for solo trips, but I sometimes look the day of and most of the time have found a spot. I agree with dining in the lounge if one is available. I did that at DHS when I went for a day trip to see GMR. I looked to see if there were any openings at Prime Time Cafe, and there weren’t, but there were a couple of seats at the Tune In Lounge, so I had my meal there.

I'm solo more often than not - I'll do ADR's for half of my trip days, then the remaining days I either eat CS, or pick up an ADR from whatever is available. As for eating solo I've had good experiences with both TS and CS.

I don't do ADRs when I'm solo, and I despise most quick service. I've never had a hard time finding a place to grab a bite and really enjoy a lot of the lounges, which don't take ADRs and are quite a nice experience when dining solo. Territory Lounge at Wilderness Lounge is probably my favorite, but Tambu and Trader Sams at the Poly and the Brown Derby lounge are really nice too.

I’m going next week solo and I booked a few ADR. I don’t know what to expect, but I like do Like dining solo from time to time so I don’t think I’d be bothered.

Your preference, but I love TS meals and book a decent amount of ADR's as a solo guest. Some days I just do quick service, but I love food and eating and like the 'down time' that comes with a slow TS meal. Half of the fun of a Disney trip is food, so I love ADR day. And as a solo on your 180-day it's pretty easy...just know that if nothing is showing up for '1' change it to '2' and usually you'll get plenty of time options.
