Do I really need to make an ADR for breakfast at Kona Cafe? I have all my other ones for when we're on the DP. The second half of our stay is room only ressie so we'll be playing it by ear. Just wondering if even basic breakfast (no character at Ohana) will be as crazy to get into. I kind of didn't want to be tied to reservations for the last few days if I can help it.

of coarse its always better to have an adr, just in case! you can always cancel once you get there if you need to. We HAD adr's and still had to wait about 10 min. but that was b/c we had to have a booth for the padded chairs. My dh has major back issues ;) there were people not able to get in though. Kona is a great breakfast. The tonga toast was much better than I thought it would be! I'd grab adr's just in case ;)!

I say make the reservation, Kona is so popular that you want to make sure you get in

Ok, thanks for the feedback. I figured I'd probably have to make one. Was just hoping I'd hear it wasn't very busy. Crazy thought huh :rotfl2:.

If you get there early, you should not have a problem. We've been able to walk in Kona at both lunch and breakfast in July--and we're a group of 5. We got there for breakfast right when they opened. Lunch was fairly early during the lunch time, too, I think about 11:30 or so. Breakfast becomes more challenging later in the day.

Does anyone know how late Kona serves breakfast? I'm going to call for my ADRs on Monday and we would like to have a late breakfast at Kona one morning. Thanks!

Maggie
