We are going to try for a reservation for Cinderella’s Royal Table at 60 days (staying off-site) for mid-September time frame for a party of 9, (6 adults and 3 toddlers). This includes two sets of grandparents.

1. What size party should I try for? If I split our party, what is the best number to try for (6+3), (5+4), or do I try for an even number 6+4? Most all the advice I see says try for even numbers. However, you have to pay in advance for CRT and it says you are not allowed to modify your reservation. So, if I get a 6+4 will we have to pay for a non-existent person?

2. Secondly, we will have 6 adults and 3 toddlers, ages 4 yrs, 2 yrs, and 12 months. Will we have to pay for the 12 month old? What about the 2 year old? We would prefer to share with them, but I don’t know if that’s allowed for this restaurant. When I go to make reservations will the children’s ages be asked for? Or is it just simply how many adults and how many children (3-9 yr). What do I specify for the non-ticketed kids?

3. How do I actually make the two reservations? My adult daughter is on my MDE, she doesn’t have her own currently. I’ve been told it is important that I not make a reservation in my name first (or be included on a first reservation), if I will need to make a second ADR. So, how do I make the reservation without including myself? (Hope that makes sense.)
Appreciate any advice.

CRT is strict about lead gst name since the lead gst cc has to be used.
You may have to have two tables. You will need to have a plan of who will be eat at each table. Restaurant is small.

You will be charged for 6 adults + 1 child. The 24 month old and 1 month old will eat off someones plate

Try for the size party that you actually want to sit in. They may not have a table for 9 or 2 tables next to each other so you need to be willing to split up if needed.

I can't remember, but you may be able to make your daughter or another adult you manage the lead on the 2nd reservation. I feel like I did that once when I couldn't find a table for my entire party.

Agreed with PP, figure out prior to your 60 reservation day how you can split the party if needed.

This summer we are a party of 10 (two grandparents, a family of 3 & a family of 5). We had to make two reservations, party of 8 & party of 2. (This happened at numerous restaurants, we had to split the reservations some 5 & 5, others 7 & 3).

Both myself & DH have MDE accounts so one reservation is his account & one is mine.

Good luck & happy planning!

You do have to name everyone for a CRT reservation. If you find you need to make increase a person to get your adr, make the extra person an infant. Then you won’t have to pay for an extra guest. When you check in, just say there will only be the 2 under 2. When you make the ADR, they will ask the age of the children. As @Narcoossee11 said, you won’t pay for the under 2 YO children. But you must include them in your number. Don’t try to leave them off & book for 7 for example. Absolutely everyone must be counted. CRT is a very small space & extra guests are not normally able to be accompanied. So if you book for 7, 2 people are likely to be turned away.

When you make the first ADR, there is a drop down box asking who will manage the reservation. You can pick your daughter’s name. Then pick you for the other ADR. Does anyone else in your party have their own MDE? If they do, you could sign into their account & make it under their name. If you do that, you’d have to be in their account to make any changes or cancellations later. As long as you’re all linked, you will be able to see all the plans.

Thank you for these replies. This response was particularly helpful. Thank you for explaining the drop down box. The other grandparents do have their own MDE account, and we are linked as friends and family, I might be able to get their sign in information. It would probably be easiest if one person made both reservations, but I've never done this. We will need to get both reservations at about the same time. I think based on the advice I will try for a party of 5 (my daughter's family size) and a party of 4 (for the grandparents). If a table for 5 doesn't work, I'll use your suggestion and book for the extra person as a being under 2.
