ADR for Boma

The first day of our trip ( Dec. 3rd) we were planning on going to AK and having dinner at Boma. I really don't know when we will be hungry because we will have benn traveling most of the day form California. Without ADR's, what is the wait to get in at Boma? Can I call the day of and get an ADR? Can they take care of that at my resort, CBR? Also. is AKL attached to AK? Do we have to take the bus over to AKL? Thank you.

Boma is very popular I would probably guess at a time and make an ADR. No it is not connected to AKL and you have to take a bus to get there.

They may not be taking walkups at all, and they may not have ADRs available day of.

Its about a five minute bus ride from AKL - buses should go every 20 minutes - but sometimes don't, and you should arrive fifteen minutes early for your ADR.

I would make ADR's now. They have been filling up from what I have heard in here. We went last year and had ressies and I believe we waited maybe 20-30 minutes. We spent that time looking around the resort. What a beautiful place. We liked it so much that we are staying there this year 11/27-12/6. Can't wait!! We stayed at CBR last year and really enjoyed it also.

You won't get in without an ADR. Make one with your best guestimate of when you think you'll be able to make it.

I would pick a time to eat just like the posters above suggested and make an ADR ahead of time.

If you are ready to go before time for your ADR, there is a lot to do pass the time at AKL. You can visit the public viewing areas to see the animals, shop in the best gift shop at WDW and just enjoy all the beautiful art work and artifacts.

BOMA is extremely popular, I would also guestimate a time for an ADR.

BOMA is on the ground floor of AKL next to Jiko. Is is NOT part of AK. Disney transportation or a cab are the best ways to get there (unless you have a rental)

There is plenty to do at the lodge while waiting. Just looking at the lobby, go outside to see the animals, have a cocktail at Victoria Falls are great things to do while waiting.
