adr for 5 & 4 show

I am pretty sure there will be 5 of us going this year. I know if I book a vacation for 5 and have to change it for 4, I will still have my room. My question is if I make my ADR's for 5 and things change close to our travel times, will I have a problem?
Any input appreciated.

If you know ahead of time that only 4 people are going, you need to call and have your reservation changed to 4. And that is especially important if you book any meal that requires a credit card to hold it. In that case if you don't have the number changed to 4 more than a day ahead of time, you will be charged a no show fee for the 5th person.

If the reservation requires a credit card hold we don't currently have any way of knowing for sure that you won't be charged the no-show fee for the person who doesn't show. So as soon as you know they're not coming, you should try to remove them. Remember the cancellation deadline has been noted as a FULL DAY before - if your meal is on Sunday you will need to remove them by close of business on Friday.
