ADR day, share the stress, the good and the bad

Ok I have 1 hour and 50 minutes till time to phone for ADRs and i have never been so stressed about it before. I think I have been lucky up till now, i have always got straight through on the phone, always got what i wanted and i have this horrible feeling my luck is about to run outFree dining is a blesing and a curse me thinks..oh and a new ADR computer system to co-incide with free dining bookings...genius timing
anyway there is a few of us phoning today so let me know how you get on and I'll let you know, lots of pixiedust to all of us, let the countdown begin!

Tusker House breakfast, Crystal Palace breakfast, Ohana, California Grill, Raglan Road, Rose and Crown, Tokyo Dining, Mama Melrose fantasmic package, Boma

I didn't have a problem booking the character meals and I was less than 80 days when I booked them. Good luck though it does make you feel sick

I've never done this before but am right now on hold for dining reservations and it's been 42mins and counting!
Tried yesterday but they couldn't retrieve my reservation apparently because it was less than 24hrs since I booked.
Hope I get it organised today -have a very long list of alternatives ready because it's way into my 90day window.

By the way I'm really hoping this is a free call as it's an 0870 no which are supposed to be free on my BT package

Must change my ticker - 9 weeks to go

Oops silly me- forgot time difference - now I see why you had to wait Fizz. I was far too early - somehow I got left on hold on dining line for an hour before it hung up -with all usual ''you're in a queue messages''
My fault but why was the line open?

Trying to book early Crystal Palace Breakfast for our 1st week.

It'll be a good practice run for next week-end when I need to book our ADRs for 7 days free dining when I'll be able to use the 90+10.

This will be my 1st time booking for 6 (normally 4) which I'm advised is more difficult

Thankfully as we are going in June/July we were not at free dining But as we are off-site had to phone each day when we hit the 90 day mark

Apart from lucking out on Fantasmic dinner package (which is more to do with reduce schedule for Fantasmic rather than 90 days ) got all the ADR's that we were looking for. Typical of the reservations system had to change a few times - looking for 6.00pm, got 5.55pm

Managed to get through-took 28 minutes; booked Crystal Palace for 8:20am on day we wanted; not quite as early as we wanted but OK-we'll just have to eat quicker!

Got through straight away...I may have got the phone prompts written down so this helped a lot, i just pressed the numbers instead of listening to the messages...got a very friendly CM who was so helpful and got nearly everything i wanted. could not get California Grill and i tried for 3 different nights and i couldnt get Crystal Palace for the morning i wanted, although I turned down Chef Mickeys and she said I was the first person ever to do that Also had to take Hollywood Brown Derby for Fantasmic as no mama melrose at all. So heres what i got:

ADR..time wanted...time got:

23- Tusker House..8am...8:20am
23- Ohana...9pm...9:45pm!
24- Tokyo Dining..2:30pm...2pm
25- Hollywood Brown Derby FDP..3:50pm
26- Artist Point..9pm...8pm
27- Rose and Crown.12pm..12pm yay!
27- Raglan Road..9pm...8pm
28- Boma..7pm..7pm yay!

so not the perfect plan i had but pretty close and i think Artist Point is a nice alternative to california grill, shame about the view but never mind I have 7 credits and will pay OOP for Tusker House and Tokyo Dining as we are going for the sushi and thats not really on the dining plan anyway. now i can sit back and relax in the sunshine
