We just returned from 5 nights at WDW & 2 nights at UO. I will post my dining reviews soon, but wanted to make a general comment. We were there 5/26-5/31 & barely kept any of our ADR's. It was so hot & we didn't feel like eating, or we were too tired to travel somewhere for an ADR, etc. We walked up to most places & were seated without a problem (only 2 of us - DH & I). We did go at off times (early for lunch or very late). Longest wait was 30 minutes at Le Cellier (we arrived at 12:15). They tried to suggest we go to Chefs de France but we decided to wait (it was so nice & cool in there!)
My other comment was about people turning you away without an ADR. We had an ADR one day at 50's Prime Time, but didn't end up at MGM that day. Then the day we went to MGM (late afternoon), we showed up at 50's Prime Time without an ADR at ~ 3pm (on 5/31). We were told no tables till after 9 pm; we asked if we could order off the menu at the Tune In Lounge & were told yes. While we were sipping a drink, the hostess announced they would take walk-ins with under 20 minute wait time. We gave our name & were seated in 5 minutes! I only write this because I just read the report about people being turned away without ADR's at Sci-Fi & there being a lot of available seating (past 2:30 pm!). It seems to me that perhaps they are told to automatically turn away people without ADR's despite availability? 50's Prime Time was hopping (even at 3pm), so we were glad to get a table.
