ADR Cancellation Rant

I would try again. I have not had any issues cancelling an ADR through the website. The app has been hit or miss.

This is a glitch specific to Steakhouse 71 apparently. Lots of people having the same issue. I’ve had no problems adjusting ADRs for any other restaurants.
 
I made Steakhouse 71 reservations the day booking opened. I cancelled some Steakhouse 71 ADRs online that same morning. I got both emails confirming the ADRS, and emails confirming the cancellations. But the cancelled ADRs still show up in my plans on MDE, stating that I must call to cancel. What crappy Disney IT. :confused3

There should be an email address to send them the cancellation numbers, so that Disney IT could correct their mistake. Guess I will be forced to endure the pain and suffering of calling them. 😡
 
There used to be an automated system - when you called in, you could cancel the reservation by inputting the reservation number - is that no longer an option?
 

The only way I got the reservations removed from the app was calling 407 939-7765 - when it prompts you say “technical support“ then you have to put in a bunch of info and after a short“er” wait I talked to someone who agreed that I had a problem :) they then transferred me, in my case they eluded to someone will be right with you, which was not the case. I then was on a medium hold (this is relative to Disney holds at about 45 minutes) but then after getting plenty of people involved to help, they were able to fix it. The call lasted in total 1:18 Good luck

when I inputted the Reservation Number, the system told me it couldn’t help and needed to get a cast member.
 
This also happened to me with Steakhouse71. In fact, I got an email saying it was canceled but it still shows in my plans so I can't book another ADR. Frustrating!
 
I am having the Steakhouse 71 issue as well. I have two reservations booked for dinner on October 1st and only want to keep the later of the two. I "cancelled it" the other day on the app. Then two days later I noticed it was still showing up. Now when I try to cancel it, I get the "you must call this number to cancel" message. I tried inputting the confirmation number on the phone, but it said I needed a cast member to help me. :(

I've had no issue cancelling tons of other reservations at restaurants other than Steakhouse 71.
 
This also happened to me with Steakhouse71. In fact, I got an email saying it was canceled but it still shows in my plans so I can't book another ADR. Frustrating!
UPDATE- I called Disney Dining, and waited 2 hours on hold. The Cast Member did not know why the reservation was still showing on my plans but he was able to verify the 71 reservation was canceled then book the reservation I wanted during the same time. He also was not sure why I wasn't able to replace the reservation with the new one (the replace button was grayed out). The canceled reservation is still in my Plans right under my new reservation.

It was really bugging me until I saw this thread. Since I have the cancellation email, I am not worrying about it. Thank you all for saving me a 2+ hour phone call.

Since I already have a replacement reservation, that conundrum is not an issue. I would be so irritated if I couldn't make a new booking due to this glitch. I feel for those of you who had that happen.

I've had so many incident reports due to glitches... keep trying and just keep a log of ever time you've tried - they will most times help you get what you wanted due to that glitch
