With 5 days to go we are getting excited or ummm nervous!

I have read that even though we have ADR that it does not mean we are seated quickly.

What can we do to get seated and served quickly? With the autistic 3 yr. old, wait is not an option all the time. I am afraid he is going to melt down.

I have made the ADR and at off times. Any advice?

Be at the podium five minutes early, and when you are seated, place your order immediately. Look at the menu while you are waiting for your table, and when the server comes to take your drink order, order your meals. Let the server know you don't want to linger. Forego the appetizers, move straight to the main course. As the server to bring the kids meal as soon as it's ready, not to wait for your meal.

There's not much you can do about wait times, if the tables are full and there are other diners checked in ahead of you, you'll just have to wait. There is no "move to the head of the line" for those with disabilities.

Have a backup plan if there's a melt down. Cancel the ADR and leave, and have counter service someplace when your child has calmed back down.

I'd suggest carrying some sort of snack, and something to distract and amuse your child during the wait.

We had an ADR just about every day (sometimes 2 sit-down meals per day) over spring break a couple of weeks ago - so an extremely busy time. I tried to get to most places before it got super busy (like 11:30 for lunch and 5:30 for dinner) and I'm happy to say that we were always seated very promptly. My younger son is a type 1 diabetic and I note it on the ADR and let them know when I check in.

I don't know if you can note the autism on the ADR but when you check in you should tell them your concerns and I think they'll make every effort to seat you quickly. I'll add that it seemed like they were seating everyone promptly which was really surprising considering how busy the parks were!
