So I was refreshing the Space 220 Lounge reservation screen (1st of 5 reservations to make) over and over again from about 5:35am onwards. At 6am only the 1st day of my trip was "unlocked" in blue! Unfortunately, that's not a day I can go to Space 220. I refresh again a couple times and still just the 1st day. (And yes, I was fully signed into MDE with my hotel res on my account) I quickly shift to the laptop I had on (just in case this kind of foolishness happened) which changes screens a little slower than the app but voila! All my Disney hotel dates are open for dining reservations but of course by 6:05/6:10am Space 220 Lounge has no availability except...the day I leave. I grabbed it on impulse and then had to face the fact that if I wanted to make my flight home on time (which I do) it was just too much of a squeeze. I wouldn't enjoy rushing through the meal and more importantly, I'd have to give up going to any park at all on my first day in order to get into Epcot just for a rushed meal on my last. And god forbid if the food was less than perfect after all that! Clearly, it's not worth the pretzel twisting in my brain and my schedule and so I promptly cancelled.
I don't know what was going on with the app but that was not cool. I really don't think anything was wrong with my phone or the connection. It was either an MDE glitch or something shady going on behind the scenes or with Space 220 Lounge reservations specifically. Either way, my interest in eating there has waned. Sure, the inside looks cool but WDW is a whole wide world of fun and food, especially during Epcot's F&W and MNSSHP, both of which I'm attending! I might attempt a same-day walk-in if there's nothing better to do but YouTube videos of the interior might have to suffice and at this point I'm okay with it.
Oh, and I was able to make all my other reservations, mostly for the times I wanted, on my laptop. Yay! Then I checked the app afterwards and all of a sudden all my days were available to make res. Too little, too late!
