June 17th Recap -

We pretty much stuck to our plan today of enjoying a round of miniature golf and heading to the Magic Kingdom this evening.

We enjoyed our round of golf at Fantasia Gardens. Both courses on Disney property are very well maintained. You couldn't go wrong with either of them.

We also enjoyed are small resort tour. It had been a while since I had been to Caribbean Beach. I wanted to check out the new pool since it had been rethemed a few years ago. It looks very nice. The Waldorf Astoria is a beautiful property. Enjoying a Waldorf Salad from Oscars was certainly a highlight of the trip.

Dinner at 1900 Park Fare had an unexpected Surprise. I never knew they selected a child to open the restaurant. It was interesting to see first hand.

It was fantastic seeing everyone at the Dole Whip meet. It's not often we can get a chance to see one another. Hope to see everyone again during PC 2.0.

Another wonderful day has come to an end. We leave Disney World in the morning to head over to Universal for 3 nights. We are checking into the Portifino Bay Hotel. After we check-in we plan to head right over to the parks for some fun. We can't wait to use the Express Pass with our room key. It's a great way to enjoy Universal.

Wow! That's some perspective.

I call that a Marty McFly Moment.

And Portofino....awesome! I stayed there once a few years back and felt that if I were blindfolded and dropped in the middle of the resort, I wouldn't know I was in central Florida. Loved it. Needed a pole vault to get into those high beds, though.

Hi everyone -

The Disney portion of our trip is over. We are now in our car headed over to Universal Orlando. I wanted to be there early for the opening of Harry Potter, but I couldn't subject Kim and Anna to a 5:00AM wake-up call. . We are checking into Portifino Bay first and then heading over to the parks.

I'll post live photos from my IPhone once we get there. It should be crazy. Hopefully, we can get close enough for pictures.

ETA - I forgot to mention, we are headed back to the Poly tonight for something special we've never tried before. Should be fun!

At Universal Studios. Lots of IOA overflow crowd over here. The lines are long even for park tickets.

Apparently IOA was not closed to capacity. Just a long line. A Team Member says it's just a huge line to get in
