I always watch 'A Baby Story" and see the moms say that they took more than one pregnancy test before they believed the positive result. I remember having a discussion in class one day (don't even ask
) about home pregnancy tests (HPT) and our professor saying that HPT's were unnecessary because if it's positive, the woman is just going to the doctor's office and get a blood test anyway - so why not just skip the HPT all together (and save that $$$ for diapers
) Since I was having fertility problems anyway, we always got the blood tests every month of trying, so we skipped the HPT altogether. One mom ono A Baby Story said that she took 7 before she believed it. What about you?

Then I did do a blood test to confirm. But I wanted it.
While attempting a surrogate pregnancy (using ivf), however, I did at least one test a day, sometimes 2 or 3, for about 11 days, so probably 13-20 tests. Unfortunately, they all ended up negative.
I used a lot of Dollar Store tests and generic
Oh it wasn't that I didn't believe I was pregnant, the others were negative. Once I had a positive I didn't test again.
But for DS, I only took one, since it came back positive.
When I came too, I called my OB/GYN to make an appt. My big "surprise" is 4 y/o now.
