admission/FOTL access question

do the universal resorts do the same thing as disney resorts do and put your admission ticket onto your room key?

if they do, would they be able to do that if i bought our tickets prior to our arrival in orlando?

or do i need to purchase the admission tickets there so that we can have FOTL access while staying onsite?

Unless things have changed recently, you have to have a seperate admission ticket. This information is not put onto the room key card.

Our admission tickets were seperate from our room keys and the boys had yet another card for the grade A kids program. We were at HRH 7/6-10

You'll use your admission ticket at the front gate--I ordered mine on-line and picked them up at the electronic kiosk when we got there--and then just your room key to access FOTL.

thank you everyone!! i'm hoping to purchase our tickets before we go next year. i'm crossing my fingers that we'll stumble on a great deal! i know that right now they are offering a 3 day for the price of a 2 day. hope that we can grab one when we are ready to purchase!

One thing if you order and pick them up at the kiosks--remember to bring the credit card you ordered them with on-line. You'll have to swipe it through the machine when you enter the code they gave you when you ordered them.

We are arriving on a Monday and staying 2 nights at RP, departing on Wed sometime. Once we check out Wed am will we still have FOTL for the rest of that day? We may not get there till late afternoon Mon and I'd sure like to know I had the FOTL my whole time there.....Does anybody know?!

from what i understand, you will have FOTL access until the parks close on the day you check out...

am i correct?

Yes, you will have access the entire day of your check out. Just DON'T turn in your room keys when you check out.

Make sure you watch the fan club rates. We bought annual passes last March for $99, no blackout dates, free parking and the passholder discounts. We ordered them online, picked them up at the kiosk. Even if you are just there for 3 days it may be a better deal and you never know if you might get back again later in the year (one can always hope!). I heard there is a two year pass out there for $149, I haven't seen it yet but since you have some time it is worth watching out for. Fan Club cards are easy to come by and all you really need is the number on the back to enter. Just a thought ....

thanks for the heads up on that!! i will definitely keep that in mind...we won't be buying our passes for a bit yet...at least next year sometime...
