I’ve done a little bit of Disney bounding before. I don’t take it as far as some that I see but it’s fun. I think my outfit for MNSSHP will qualify more as Disney bounding than as an actual costume, although the character‘s outfits in the movie aren’t too out there to begin with. I’m still working on putting it together.

I prefer subtle, myself. I love Disney graphic tees that fall into the IYKYK category and I love my ears, but I usually end it there. In my 20's I wore once a black and white polka dotted dress into MK with classic Minnie ears. This was back before Disney bounding was a thing (or at least before I knew it was a thing) and I felt fab! But now I'm almost 40 and while I WANT to be all, age is just a number, I have trouble jumping that confidence hurdle. The thing is, I recently bought a kelly green skort, which I realized pairs perfectly with a purple tank and my Little Mermaid ears. It was unintentional but it's a perfect Disney bound. It's just a little more obvious than I'd usually go for, I guess.

Ever since our first trip when we needed a few items laundered and paid $$$ for laundry service, we do laundry every trip. And by WE.....I mean DH. I was blessed with a husband who inherited the laundry gene from his mother. He enjoys doing laundry.

I use the packing cubes for undies, bras, socks, pajamas, swimsuits and electronics' cords. I use the packing envelopes for shirts and shorts/pants.

I have found packing cubes most helpful for split stays. We're a family of 4 with two small kids, and the packing cubes help me stay organized. I could separate the things we'd need for Resort 1 from the things for Resort 2, then further separate by family member.

Our next trip is *technically* a split stay but it's only arrival night at a different resort than where we're actually staying. So I think I'm forgoing packing cubes this time. I can't find the ones I have, don't feel like spending money on new ones, and I always pack the kids' outfits in ziplocs anyway.

Yes! We did this when our girls were little. It was so easy to pack each day's outfit in a separate gallon ziploc.

Yes, and then we re-use the ziplocs for all kinds of things, from storing extra food/snacks to zipping up a dirty diaper.

I have packing cubes as does DS. Aside from the organization it keeps my clothes from touching inside of drawers that others have used.

At Christmas we do a GOOD gift white elephant exchange. Lots of members have upcoming travel so I did a travel basket. Chargers, phone charger, travel bags that open big, fancy head rest pillow etc ..... and packing cubes. The cubes were the hit and everyone was fighting over the gift. Who thought something so simple would be so wanted.

I have a set of the packing envelopes, too. I use those to pack DHs stuff for his business trips. I think the reason I'm so indifferent to the packing cubes/envelopes is that every piece of luggage we have either has pockets or separate sections already built in to them so I always used those pockets/compartments for smaller things -- undies, bras, socks, etc. and then rolled our shorts/pants and shirts and stacked them in the main part of the suitcase so they were super easy to grab when we wanted them. When our kids were little I always packed their outfits in individual ziploc bags that I rolled the air out of and zipped shut -- then threw them in the suitcase. And I used other random small bags for cords, chargers, bathroom stuff, etc (or sometimes stuffed the cords, chargers, etc. in shoes that were packed). So, I was somewhat organized with packing even before I had ever heard of packing cubes I'm glad I have the packing cubes...they're just not one of the "oh my gosh, how did I live without these??" items in my life.

I did this for years with our kids. Our youngest child is now 18 and just recently went on a 4-day trip to Disney/Universal with the music dept. at her school. She still wanted to pack her outfits in ziploc bags. I convinced her to use the packing cubes instead.

I commonly do laundry on vacation, especially if it's more than a week. There are 5-7 of us (depending on if DD27 and/or her boyfriend go).

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai last year, laundry was free!

This summer, we're going to a ranch we visit every year. They used to offer laundry service--it was an outside place, but it cost what it would if you want to a local "wash and fold", picked up and delivered. Last year, they had switched to where you have to drop off and pick up the laundry. Obviously, this is more costly than doing it yourself (especially if you bring your own detergent, etc.). But I figure--it's my vacation, too. It also gives an excuse for a Stewart's run.

What the heck is Stewart's? Upstate NY dairy that has amazing ice cream. We bring a couple half gallons to the ranch--they put it in their freezer, and we bring it out for dessert. Since we can't bring it home with us, we offer any remaining to the staff.

Visiting grocery stores in other countries is one of my all time favorite things! We have a local restaurant that serves thick cut homemade sweet potato fries with whipped honey cinnamon butter on the side. So good!

I was thinking of buying cubes, even though our trips are coming to an end. We live out of suitcases and I'm the one to be digging through. At home, everything is perfect. 5 mins at disney, a tangled mess.

But, for the first time in forever, we are doing 1 bedroom for the whole trip. I told DH we can do laundry every day in room. We don't care if you see us wearing a blue shirt and blue shorts every day of our trip. But there is still the hunting in suitcase.....I thought we can hang up clothes...ooooooo, so very little left in suitcase. We never really did that before since we stayed mostly in studios.

Our DD is tossing idea of coming down for weekend. I told she doesn't even have to pack. Stick extra underwear and toothbrush in jacket packet. While she is taking a looonnnggggg shower, she can throw clothes into washer/dryer.

Aside from washer/dryer in room, I'm looking forward to the fridge. We always do the juggle the stuff around in the 6 inch freezer trying to freeze water bottles for park hikes. Won't have that worry this trip.

We joke about this every time. I do so much laundry at Disney that we always seem to pull our clothes from the top of the pile. If you see me every day in my purple "just here for the snacks" shirt, my apologies lol!

I'm too type A to not wait on mine so it never gets taken out. Honestly, I'm not sure I've ever had to do someone else's, but I would!

I've only had to take someone else clothing out from the washing machine in my apartment building, never at Disney. I have seen clothing piled up on a table at AKL Jambo.

Two more things I love about packing cubes/envelopes.

If our suitcases are packed and they weigh over 50lbs, it's easy to open, grab one or two cubes, and toss in a lower weight suitcase.

We often have our bags searched by TSA. They don't make a mess of our stuff when it's in packing cubes.envelopes.

I lied.......one more thing. We often have to mix up the cubes when packing for departure because some suitcases have plastic bags full of dirty clothes or souvenirs. When we unpack at home, the color coded cubes and envelopes tell us who the cube belongs to so it can easily be tossed in their bedroom to unpack.

I’m going to be staying at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai for the first time in a few weeks! I’m so excited. Great to know about the laundry. I will take advantage of that. I will also be using packing cubes.

It's why I have moved to cross-branded stuff with Disney ... Light logo, just enough to fit in without overdoing it on the Disney-esque graphics - where it's the only place I would ever wear the stuff in the parks ... Closet was getting full with stuff that I would only pull out for a trip and then it was the same stuff over and over ...

How many do laundry at WDW? We have 12 nights coming up, 15 if you count Thanksgiving with my parents on the way. We have a washer and dryer the last half, but none for the first. We are moving around a lot with splits and hate lugging dirty clothes.

I can either do a load or two at the YC or the RIV. Is one laundry better than the other?

We always get at least a 1 bedroom villa so I can do laundry. Like others have said, doing laundry at home is a pain but on vacation for some strange reason, I'm ok to do it I've also started doing laundry on cruises, too lol
