I have not actually taken a real vacation since May ‘21 so I have time. It’s not always easy for me to take big blocks of time during the busy seasons so I’m a little limited on dates. I think I could swing a week in January for sure. That would leave one more trip to make the AP worthwhile.
Go ... Go ... Go....

So does anyone know if I get an AP for my DH if he can wait to activate it? Mine is up for renewal in September and I want us on the same schedule. I have been hollering at him for the last two renewals when I got mine that he shouldn’t have let his lapse!

If he gets one I can finally start planning another trip instead of my last minute fly down on the 5am and be in my bed at home by midnight. Although that is a nice busy break on occasion.

If its a brand new one - I think he can wait up to a year to activate and it starts from that date.

On the terms and conditions page, it sounds like the AP becomes active on the day that it’s first used at a park. He would have up to one year from the date of purchase to activate it.

I would buy it now and activate it in September so my expiration date would be in September too.

There's a thread going now asking for advice on dining - with 100 or so choices - where do you begin?
Alphabetical or add a lot more days to your hotel stay 😊
I'll go in and recommend the best restaurant on property...........Tony's Town Square!
We are there at Christmas time and it was the worst food I’ve ever had at WDW.

Disney would have to pay ME to go to Tony's willingly. I feel like I'm in the Twilight zone whenever I see people say the food is amazing.
The irony was with my allergy we had a chef consult and he described how he co do GF chicken Parmesan with an herb marinaded chicken breast that wouldn’t be breaded and what came out was very underwhelming as to the picture of it he painted with his description. It looked like boiled chicken not an herb in sight with a bit of sauce and cheese.

How far apart are your trips normally? Looking at the TP crowd calendar, and considering that I haven’t visited the holidays since I was 8, I would almost be temped to do September, early December and late January. Early December to enjoy the holidays and decorations, not as ride focused. Late January could be rides and to get out of the cold.

For me, it would be 3 months typically - we were in January and March - with a gap now to June - then all the way to end of November for the decorations as you suggested! And, then back in January.
