Generally, I like the smallish footprint of the hotel itself ... it never feels overrun by people ... the art on the walls and in the rooms are amazing ... the vibe is comfortable and relaxed ... and the 3bdr Grand Villa is stunning ...
I actually really liked the rooms. It was the tower design that I’m not as fond of. I should probably stay there and give it a chance.

My one hang-up might be the skyliner. I know it’s safe but as someone who now has to use an ECV I don’t love being on the Skyliner. I have a fear of getting stuck and of trying to climb down with my one good leg. Lol

Agree that the towers make it feel more 'corporate travel", but I will take the Riviera's approach over the aesthetics of BLT any day of the week. Again, everyone has their preferences - I don't think there really is a right or wrong to it.

The wife doesn't fancy the skyliner (or heights either) - but it is pretty smooth running and they do a really good job of accommodating those with mobility concerns. It does stop from time to time, but those are pretty limited events based on my experience - I just like that it feels like another ride!

I love the Riviera we bought a fixed week there before the point chart changed and they are called favored weeks. I don't love the gray exterior during the day but at night the lighting around the resort makes it look really pretty. We love the size of the rooms, the small foot print with two great dining options, the pool bar and cafe. The skyliner makes it so easy to get HS & EPCOT or any of the crescent lake hotels. If you ride the Monorail you can do the skyliner as you would be evacuated the same way if either truly got stuck and you had to be rescued via a firefighter, the monorail just seems more substantial. I love riding the skyliner, with it constantly moving the wait never seems that long.

Back to the treadmill and vintage "Price is Right" ... tell'em what they might win - A NEW CAR! ... never gets old ...

So, the same brother who taught me to drive won a car from a radio station in Chicago in the 80s. He had won a weekly drawing I guess to qualify. They called when he was still at work. He came home. I told him he had won the car. He did not believe me, because of course your little sister would be pulling a practical joke on you. It took me a good 10 minutes to convince him..no, no really you won the car! I was thrilled as I talked to Larry Lujack on the air.

The only thing I’ve ever won was a trip to Paris. lol

Fun!!! I love dreaming about spending someone else's money!! :cool1:

AK--That park needs some new rides that are not movie based. While I love FOP, Avatar is not everyone's cup of tea. I would rather it be something more animal related,,,,ya know,,,,,since it's called Animal Kingdom. Maybe an indoor (VERY AIR CONDITIONED) coaster type ride that takes us somewhere cold. It could be "seen through the eyes of a young penguin" jumping in the water and then hopping back on an iceberg then sliding down a slippery ice hill.

MK--Really like the idea of that Encanto land in MK. At least two rides and of course, a new TS restaurant and several fun food kiosks. Definitely need some love in Tomorrowland. I wish Monster's Inc had a REAL attraction. It's such a great movie. I also want some love for Inside Out. It's such a fun movie and has no presence. Not sure if it should be in MK or in DHS.

DHS-- I love me some Toy Story. That land is so congested and hot. How about incorporate maybe Andy building a tent over his mom's clothesline with some cartoon themed sheets for some shaded areas with seating.

Hotel-- They need another compact moderate resort. Something with a Far East vibe would be really fun and could offer more Asian cuisine options.

Larry Lujack on WLS - memories lol

Woohoo! :cool1: I did my first 5K last year during Marathon Weekend - it was tons of fun! Just a warning that they start VERY early!
5A - I called my niece last night to see if she wanted to do the 5K race with me - she will be joining me with her husband - so excited about that. In fact for this morning's hunger games registration - she got right in where I sat in queue!

I love tacos!! Or if they have mulitas!🤤 We don't have Tijana Flats here, actually I've never tried it either.
I like Tijuana Flats much more than the other casual Tex-Mex restaurants we have locally. They introduced me to diced fresh jalapeños, for which I am eternally grateful (I hate the pickled ones, but love the fresh ones).

People! It's Splinko! 😂🤣😅

...still hanging my head in shame....
