Sit in the motorbike seat. It's awesome, especially at night. Also in the preshow room try to stand in the far left corner as that's where the door opens. I love Hagrid's but yesterday the wait time peaked at 4 hours. No thanks! It does seem like that ride is down alot ... never ridden it ... but its on my list for November.
The cat comment made me think about pet names. Do you like the trend of human names for pets? Or are you more of a traditionalist?
Said cat’s name was Ennui. Ennui spent many years in love with our neighbor’s tomcat, Bubba. Bubba was 20 lbs and ruled the neighborhood. I kept trying to tell Ennui that she did not want to fall for a guy named Bubba but her meows told another story.![]()

Yes!!!!! That was fascinating!!!! I really enjoyed it. DW is into anything violent and murderous - makes me worried my days are numbered!
Netflix: continue watching: How to murder someone and get away with it, how to poison someone without being detected, writing wills for dummies
Corrected spelling!
Heading to Birthday Celebration Dinner to honor the wife ... see you later ... looking forward to the pages of antics to read later!
The totally unhealthy, yummy, Southern dinner tonight -
Biscuit n Gravy Casserole
Speaking of dinner -
What do you call the evening meal? For us, dinner means Sunday's after church meal or the rest of the week's evening meal. We don't call it "supper." You?
Another side bar. I'm offended I keep getting STD testing ads in my feed![]()
I just got home from my bowling night. So now you know. I am an old school crazy gal. Anyone else bowl?
LOL at that last line. So funny!!I feel like I'm the only person on the planet who has a child who does NOT LIKE HARRY POTTER. At all. She has zero desire to go to UO. Which I'm ok with or the most part since I don't love crazy coasters, but I want her to like HP!
Funny thing is, she does not want me to read the books without her She doesn't want to read them/listen to them. But she wants to suck my joy in the process HA HA HA!
In the U.K. true scampi is made from monkfish.A few thoughts....
I don't have any ads so I guess I am using an ad blocker....lol
LOVE Seinfeld. One of the greatest shows of all time. Anything and everything in life can be referenced back to a Seinfeld episode.
I call the evening meal supper when eating at home. If we are going to a restaurant, I call it dinner. I have no idea why though??
Ahhhh.......Barbie. I played with my dolls incessantly. My first dolls were The Sunshine Family. Then I got a Skipper doll with a bedroom suitcase play set. Barbie and Ken were actually the last dolls I got. I wasn't too fond of Ken however. I always grabbed my brother's GI Joe doll to marry Barbie. I preferred his more rugged good looks. And.....when my brother was too busy playing with his toy soldiers, I would also take his Army Jeep to be Barbie and GI Joe's getaway car after the wedding. Sigh.....such a lovely couple.
Shrimp scampi.......ya know......I never order this at restaurants. It's usually too greasy and I prefer to make my own at home. Speaking of shrimp, I do need to say, my favorite shrimp ever is any shrimp dish made with shrimp from the SC coast. The shrimp are just so good. It's hard to describe but they are a clean crisp, a hint of ocean salinity, and the perfect shrimpiness?? Is that a word?? When we go to Charleston, we eat shrimp almost every day!!!
We call it supper and also enjoy drinking pop.![]()

Shrimp….ick…I will eat from a field be it a bug, a deer or a good old Rocky Mountain oyster but nothing that comes out of the water shall pass these lips.
My Barbie actually dated my dad’s Ken doll. So I guess she must have liked older men as Ken was a good 30 years older than her.
It’s a meaty white fish (ugly) and taste a little like lobster. It gets tough and chewy if you over cook it.I can't say I have ever had monkfish..... What does it taste like? Texture?
So sad to hear you aren't a seafood kinda gal. Oh well. I will eat your portion
See, your Barbie was ahead of her time. She just prefers a Ken that is more mature with a fully funded 401K.
Harry Potter was big in our house for a bit. I found the last 3 movies got really dark so I wouldn’t let my kids watch them til they were at least 10. We are going to London this summer before hopping on our Disney cruise and the kids all want to go to the studios where they filmed them.I feel like I'm the only person on the planet who has a child who does NOT LIKE HARRY POTTER. My husband used to be in a bowling league for his prior company's wellness program. He did 3 leagues which earned him a bowling ball. However, tell me how drinking pitchers of beer equals any meaningful exerciseI just got home from my bowling night. So now you know. I am an old school crazy gal. Anyone else bowl?
Yeah it was down for us last May as well. Just learned to go to VelociCoaster first. I'm not the biggest thrill person (can't do loops or too high of drops) and Hagrid's was a one and done for me but was truly a blast while on it. My husband liked it but VelociCoaster is considered his favorite ride with Guardians as a close second. Guardians we rode during previews last year. That is also a one and done for me lol the spinning isn't for me.Side note but this ride is delayed every time I rope drop this park.
I went to the studio tour before Covid and it's great for a HP fan and movie fan as they have SO many props from all of the films. Super easy to get there by train from London. Their Butterbeer doesn't taste as good as the one in Universal though.Harry Potter was big in our house for a bit. I found the last 3 movies got really dark so I wouldn’t let my kids watch them til they were at least 10. I'm 100% with you on all of this (NC girl). But, a bubbler...that just sounds wrong in so many ways like you said!Growing up in SC, we called everything a Coke. Not soda. Not pop. I worked at the snack bar at a country club and golfers would come in and ask for a "coke and a pack of nabs" to which you would reply "which coke?" They would say either Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, etc. and then tell you which type of nabs (cheese and pb or cheese on cheese, etc).
Which bring me to another topic. What do ya'll call a "the plumbing appliance usually attached to a wall that you drink water from?" We always called it a water fountain. Here in WI, they call it a bubbler. ACK! to me, a bubbler sounds infected![]()
